  • @jfjfjf I have been running MBAM Premium and Bitdefender Total Security since 2014 without any issues on both of my computers. It is important to create exceptions in both programs to avoid potential conflicts. Regrettably, Bitdefender TS will not install with MBAM present, so you have to uninstall MBAM, install BDTS, and…

  • @CarolK Holding down the Shift key while pressing the Delete key only causes the file being deleted to not be added to the Recycle Bin. It does NOT shred the deleted file or render it unrecoverable by file recovery utilities. Have a great day. Regards, Phil
  • @Brinkgvd01 I use Total Security. Open BD, click on Protection, Open AntiVirus, go to Settings. There are options for CD/DVD scanning and USB scanning. Select "AutoScan" for USBs. Hope this helps. Have a great day. Regards, Phil
  • @Alexandru_BD Thank you for removing that nuisance pop-up. I really appreciate how responsive you and your colleagues are to queries and complaints made in the "new" BD Forums. Quite a welcome change from the past. I also like your aggressive approach to eliminating the spammers who formerly flooded the forums with their…
  • @Alexandru_BD I am always logged in when visiting this Forum, as I do with the other Forums I visit daily. I just filled out that darned survey again. I hope to never see it again. Thanks for looking into this. I appreciate it. I have a static IP address so let us hope that I have seen that pop-up for the last time. Wait a…
  • @Frazzle Ever since Malwarebytes Premium has had a Web Protection component, I have had it activated. I have never encountered any issues with it interfering with the BDTS installed on my computers and appropriately configured. Of course, should that occur, you could try disabling it as Flexx has suggested. I aim for…
  • @Frazzle I have run Bitdefender Total Security (BDTS) and Malwarebytes Premium(MBP) together for many years, as have my computer clients. I have never noticed any degradation in the performance of the computers, provided everything is properly configured in both BDTS and MBP. You must install BDTS first. When you installed…
  • @DIVERSE I had occasion yesterday to have to reinstall BDTS on my Dell laptop computer because, unlike my Dell desktop, BDTS had not updated the component build since October and no number of manual "Check for Updates" would lead to a component update. The signatures were up to date. Like you, I was MOST annoyed when the…
  • @RancherRick @Alexandru_BD I am copying a Moderator with this reply. I do not know where Bitdefender stores its ransomeware remediation files or when they are created, and if they are continually kept updated. I suspect that the files are kept updated, but are stored in a proprietary format, possibly BD encrypted format,…
  • @RancherRick "Mr. Google" is your friend. Click on <this link> to read an explanation of how Ransomware Remediation works. Frequent full backups (system images) are absolutely essential to safe computing. Ransomware is not the only threat to be concerned about. Hardware failures are frequently the cause of data loss and…
  • @BreakerBreaker "Mr. Google" is your friend. This link should help you to remove the malware. Good luck and have a great weekend. Regards, -Phil
  • I have a Samsung Galaxy S21. I just ran a manual scan successfully, so whatever your issues are, they are not affecting all Android devices. Good luck and have a great day. Regards, -Phil
  • @Bill58 That happened to me as well. I just exited the browser and restarted it, and then I installed the free Malwarebytes Browser Guard Chrome extension. Not sure if that helped, but I have not seen the pop-up since. Have a great day. Regards, -Phil
  • @Mike_BD Forum working fine today. I had to abort yesterday's session here. I got over 100 identical critical errors in the less than 10 minutes that I was online. Thank you and have a great day. Regards, -Phil
  • @SamSwe Internet Security does not include Android protection. You must move up to Total Security or a Family Pack. Please see this link for more details. I hope this helps. Have a great day. Regards, -Phil
  • @Mike_BD I am very happy with the improvements that you have made in the last month or so. It is a nice clean interface and so far devoid of the spammers who proliferated the old Forums with their garbage. I just offered my two suggestions because it would improve my user experience and possibly the experience for other…
  • @Mike_BD Thank you for considering my request. I was wondering if it also might be possible to have a "New Messages" indicator (flag) in the Category index pages? As It is now, you have to memorize the post count for each Category or open it up to see if there are new posts, which is a time-waster. Thank you and have a…
  • @Mike_BD Really glad to hear that Mike. Looking forward to an improved BD Forum experience. Have a great weekend. Regards, -Phil
  • @DWK I have been running Bitdefender Total Security (BDTS) and Malwarebytes Premium (MBP) together for many years now. The "trick" is to always install BDTS first. Then set up the proper exclusions for the other product, in each product. The Malwarebytes Forums recommends the following exclusions be added to BDTS: This…
  • @Kepis I already answered you in the Protection Forum, where you posted as well. Please do not post all over the place. Thank you and have a great day. Regards, -Phil
  • @Kepis I have both Malwarebytes and BD Total Security on my two computers, with exceptions set as recommended. Right click BD File Scan works fine for me. You can add BD to task bar via Windows Settings, Personalization, Taskbar, under Notifications, click on "Select which icons appear on the taskbar". I have had no…
  • @shacktoms The widget is draggable. Just click and hold, on the black area outside of the green circle. Drag it where you like. I hope this helps. Have a great day. Regards, -Phil
  • @mkg According to a VirusTotal scan of the URL that I just ran, no security software vendors are identifying the site as malicious right now. It might have been a temporary "false positive." I hope this helps. Have a great day. Regards, -Phil
  • @KatK I just ran your friend's website URL through VIrusTotal. No security software is detecting the website as malicious, including Bitdefender. It might have been a temporary "false positive", fixed by a new signature release. Hope this helps. Have a great day. Regards, -Phil
  • @JimD118 You are most welcome. Stay safe in cyberspace. Regards, -Phil
