I purchased BitDefender Total Security 2011 (5PC's & 3years) and have 630+ days left in my subscription;

First, I have been very impressed with the package and other than a few small issues that took a few minutes of researching, the system has preform prefect. In the 450+ days of operating, BitDefender has only missed one incoming threat and that issue was detected in the first full system scan (that runs once every three hours) and quarantined.

My problem is that while researching a SSH issue, I noticed a post that user can upgrage to TS 2013 for free. When I follow the links in the post to check system requirements on the renewal page I receive an error message that the license key is invalid (I prefer not to include it in a open message). I have checked the key that I entered and it is my key in my current system registration page. Just curious if this is going to be an issue, before removing TS 2011 and downloading and installing TS 2013.

Then all the sudden a few days ago its said i neede dto fix and issue and update, which I have tried multiple times. I've searched and tried everything that I've found, including some download patch.

I've tried upgrading to 2012 and also 2013, and both struggle to even boot up my PC after the install. When I'm able to get it booted up, my PC completely locks up upon running a game I play called Final Fantasy XI Online. Like I said, not a single problem with 2011 until I got this update error. This is on windows 7 32 bit and can help provide whatever info is needed to fix.

Hello,

I am having problems with bitdefender again.

After so many problems with total security 2010, updated to 2011.

1st- automatic update is not working. It says it is not active and when i tell it to fix it it says Failed.

2nd - manual update doesn't seem to work either. When i tell it to update now it simply goes grey and does nothing.

3rd - when starting windows i get an error about crss.exe not found in proper location or whatever.

I tried to contact my local bitdefender representative (Portugal) and they simply don't answer the phone or reply to emails sent. I did try more than once.

They where fast on charging money for the license renovation but don't seem to care about anything else.

I am not rich to be able to pay 2 year license for a antivirus software that doesn't work and just go buy another one.

What solution (if any) is there?

Kind regards

After applying today's product update and rebooting, my computer is now unresponsive. Black screen appears for 15 minutes while the desktop is loading and I must wait another 15 minutes before fully loaded. No applications will run in this state. Shutting down the computer also requires another 15 minute to half hour wait. I safe booted and used system restore, system was now responsive again. Everything appears back to normal after the system restore, but BitDefender now reports that all aspects of real time protection are completely disabled, and it reports "failed" when I instruct the program to resolve the issue.

The program I am using is BitDefender Internet Security 2011 Version 14.0.30.357

Windows Vista Home Premium 32 bit

I do not have any other anti virus programs installed.

Everything worked as it should prior to this morning's product update.

Did anyone else experience this?

When I attempt to "check for updates", soon after a reboot, I receive -1007 error code after a time the services become non-responsive (i.e. the icon is greyed out). This is just after two updates that required a reboot.

Update message is "An error occured during the update (-1007). If the problem persists, please check our online support website at: http://www.bitdefender.com."

The BitDefender services failed prior to the reboot (thus requiring a reboot to fix).

Since the services have failed, I cannot report the version of BitDefefinder Total Security 2011 that I have.

The bdagent.exe shows a file version of 14.0.28.65 at 1.93MB

Thanks,

Reboot after update problem.

Just bought Internet Security 2011. Worked fine for the first week or so.

In one update cycle, a pop-up said that it needed to reboot before applying the update.

After rebooting, the computer hung just before the windows xp log-in screen.

Tried it again several times, same thing.

Finally, pressed F8 at reboot to get to the boot menu, and chose "Use last known configuration." It worked. I thought that was that. Used the computer for a week or so without any problems.

Unfortunately, just a few minutes ago, i initiated a manual update for bit defender, and the same pop-up screen came again. After rebooting, same problem: hanging right before the log-in screen. I used the same technique I used before, then the system booted up proper.

Can someone tell me what's going on? Does this mean that my anti-virus has not been updated for the last several days/week?

Thanks.

----

My system is running on xppro sp3, if that's a factor.
