Does anyone know how to remove the Bitdefender antispam toolbar from Outlook Express?

I don't mean just turn it off, I want to remove it altogether.

I wrote to BD tech support and was sent a very unclear reply which seemed to suggest I reinstall.

Since a few time, I observe that some of the mails sent by my NAS are automatically directed to the spam folder in Outlook.

The only way I can have them in my Inbox is by desabling the Spam feature in Bitdefender Internet Security 2013 ... I have already tried to put the mail adress as "friend", etc .... but no luck. How may have this working ?

I've raised a support ticket about this, run the suggested test to check the Spam module is working (!) and, as requested, sent multiple examples of the junk mail I'm getting.

Hello everyone,

I think It's been around 2~3 weeks since it started deleting every email it considers as spam.

The problem is: we use the Windows Live Mail client on Windows 7 64bits and it wasn't filtering anything at all on my wife's pc before that date as she was receiving lots of e-mails from her discussion groups she participates in, spams and etc. The antispam option was disabled on her e-mail provider more or less in the same period stated above. Also I usually don't receive spam but started receiving after I installed bitdefender 2013 early this year but that's another problem.

So I checked today with her e-mail provider and asked them to reset her account, they did it and the e-mail is still being deleted anyway, even her brothers e-mails, and we can't configure anything at all in antispam module because it is not made for Windows Live Mail client as you guys says. I turned the antispam off on her pc, clicked the option to leave messages on their mail server even if they were deleted and they stopped disappearing on her webmail.

Should I uninstall the antispam and leave the rest 'on'? Can it be done or will I have to uninstall it completely and reinstall choosing what modules I want?

Thanks for your attention and patience and forgive my english because it is not my main language.

I am at my wits end here with the anti-spam module in the Total Security 2013 package. As many people have suggested I have done at least 10 repair installs and about 5 uninstalls/reinstalls to no avail -- the module still refuses to start. I have even tried NOT enabling anti-spam during the installation and then trying to enable it after the updates have been applied and my computer has rebooted.

My system specs are as follows:

OS - Windows 7 Professional x64

CPU - Intel i5-2400

RAM - 4GB DDR3

Chipset - Intel Q65 Express Chipset (this is a work computer and it's a Dell Optiplex 790)

HD - 250GB WD

Currently using Office 2010 64-bit

I can see the toolbar in Outlook 2010 but everything is grayed out (assuming this is because the module is failing to start)

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I said, I am at my wits end with this...

Thanks in advance.

I have installed BIS 2013 on my Windows 7 x64 desktop PC. I also have Thunderbird installed as my e-mail client. My email provider is Verizon. Verizon uses POP account with ports 995 and 465 with connection security SSL/TLS for both incoming and outgoing mail. I have the toolbar at the top, and there also is a spam folder. When I installed Thunderbird and setup my e-mail account 99 messages were downloaded. Most of them were spam. However, the anti-spam module did not label any of them as spam. I went to each message and click "Is Spam" but I continue getting e-mails from the same companies that are sending me the spam. Why is the anti-spam feature not detecting any spam?

I posted last year about importing a 'Friends' list into the AntiSpam module, and was disappointed to find there is no way to import email addresses from a mail client with BDIS2013. I then had to uninstall the product, due to numerous other issues, but I am happy to say, I am now back, with a clean and, so far, running like silk, installation of BDIS2013.

I still had the issue with needing to import around 300 email addresses into the AntiSpam module, but thought I'd just update the forum that I have now found a way to do this, by first saving one or two addresses, then manually editing the resulting .bwl file, and re-importing it into the AS module. The process is a little laborious, but not nearly so taxing as manually copying each email address individually.

I hope this may be of some use to someone, but I expect you all knew about it anyway - lol! Hopefully, a simpler method will be implemented in a future version of BDIS.

I sent my wife 3 cards that were blocked by the add-in in Outlook 2010. Bluemountain is not on ANY spammers list that I can find in BD!! I turned the Anti-Spam module OFF (not a solution) and sent a test ecard that DID arrive perfectly. So what's the problem with Bluemountain? How do I find it in any blacklist and get it out of there? Or does someone have a better idea?

Thanks for your time

Ever since I installed Bitdefender Total Security 2013, I've started to receive blank e-mails. I've seen other users post this problem as well, in previous versions. The solution was to turn off anti-spam. I've turned it off, but still get blank e-mails. If I un-install it goes away.

I use Outlook 2010 for an email client. All POP3 accounts. Blank e-mails have no sender, no subject and no-text.

I delete enough spam, I don't need to delete blank emails! Anyone know how to get rid of this?

Thanks,

When I boot in the morning to turn on my machine I get a message from I believe Windows stating there is a serious problem with the BDAS Toolbar and it goes on to ask me if I'd like to disable this toolbar and check for an update. I did that once and it was a while before I was able to reset this toolbar and get it up and running and the problem came back anyway. You all aware of this? Don't really know what to say because most of the time the solution is to just do a repair install and Lord knows I've done enough of those, so maybe it's just better to advise you that it is happening.

When I select an email, I get the clickable options in the toolbar, but 'Add Spammer' and 'Is Spam' buttons do nothing.

In fact only the 'Settings' button reacts to clicks.

This is a continuing problem from 2012.

Any ideas?

I've searched high and low on the forums, and can't find anything on this. Is there STILL no way to import an address book as a Friends List, from Outlook, Outlook Express, or Thunderbird? I find it astonishing that to configure a Friends List, the user is expected to manually enter each email address. I have over 300 - this would take me forever!
