Every now and then, the update module reports an update failure with error code 87.

Usually when I click "retry" (or "again", I have the Dutch version so I don't know what it is in English version), the update succeeds.

But this error is coming more frequently , so I want to get this properly fixed.

Hi there.

I had a some update a few days back which asked me to reboot my laptop I had been postponing it for a few days but finally gave in. The problem is since after that update or rather after the reboot my headphones/earphones do not get detected and of course do not work.

I have tried all other options like updating my audio drivers etc and trying new headphones etc but none of them are working in my laptop since after the update.

I don't know how an antivirus update will stop my earphones/headphones from working but it happened right after the update which required a reboot. And also I have tried all other options.

The update took place on 22/03/2014.

I want to try doing an update rollback and checking if its working. So want to know how to perform an update rollback of bitdefender.

Can someone please help me with this issue.

Thank you.

This morning, I was offered more updates. The names looked familiar. I wrote them down and accepted the update which seemed to go okay. Since then, I keep getting notices to install updates consisting of many more files as well as the files already installed this morning. In the distant past, I experienced malware being served to me via Windows Update notices, so this behavior makes me suspicious. Can anyone shed light on this situation? Why does Bitdefender continue to offer previously installed update files?

Hope this isn't a repost, I tried searching but didn't find anything pertinent to what I am looking for. I am running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit, a clean installation of windows with just Firefox and Office 2007. I work with my laptop offline sometimes when trying to conserve battery power, or running a tune-up. Whenever I do, however, I keep getting event notifications that it failed. This has been happening continuously and I'm not sure how to get rid of the event notifications.

Anyone know how?

I have received update failure errors 1002 and 2009 intermittently since installing Bitedefender on all my computers last year. Through support, I have uninstalled, reinstalled, upgraded and the problem goes away for a while but then reoccurs after an update requires a reboot.

In my firewall, it shows errors during updates:

2013/09/30 08:51:48.892 [bDFWCORE] Open process 4294967295 - c:\windows\system32\msiexec.exe failed. Error: 57.

2013/09/30 08:52:06.648 [bDFWCORE] Open process 4294967295 - c:\windows\syswow64\msiexec.exe failed. Error: 57.

Another forum earlier this year indicated it was due to a busy update server.

I have asked for resolution on this a number of times but nothing seems to work. Has anyone had this issue and if so, what resolved it.

Thanks Dan1W

I am having an issue with updating my Total Security 2013. This problem just started today randomly. I am getting Error 1008. My build is 16.33.0.1897. Bitdefender will not update and just shows this Error. What should I do to fix this problem?
