Installed Bit Defender yesterday.. also installed the Free version of Safebox. While learning to use it uploading a few files, deleting them etc.. seems there is a considerable amount of space listed as used while there should be none.

Ive tried several different things.. deleting, deleting the trash on SB via web, delinking and deleting files/linked folder all to no avail.

Assistance with this would be much appreciated

I want Safebox to be bigger,and now is too small to look clearly.

I can know Firewall flow.But I am very glad to know download speed or upload speed. (Number is the best! )

Can safebox keep in front of windows?When I surfing in Internet,I want to know bitdefender's events and Scan status.

But it got fixed after closing BD and opened it again.

1) If more than a few gigs of data is backed up, when you go to the console the items do not show up for a while.

2) Folders that have a large amount (more than 1gb) of data can't be opened.

3) When an item is selected to be deleted, nothing happens.

4) If there are items in the recycle bin, selecting to remove them does nothing.

5) In many cases, clicking on Safebox to open it beings up a "Maintenance" error, and has for many months now.

6) Occasionally a large folder that is set to backup with Safebox will wind up having it's files in it's sub-folders renamed with the full path and file name and moved into the main folder. This has been reported to Bitdefender and several tickets created more than a month ago with no reply.

7) The icons that, according to the users guide, are supposed to let you know when an item is Pending, In Process, or Backed Up do not work. All items selected for backup only get the "Backed Up' icon. The other two never appear no matter what the status of the item being synced.

Through a Gmail account, you can not log in process is not responding and that the charges so that the processor heats mercilessly!

Is there anyway to view the upload logs for the SafeBox Sync? (I can see BDLOGS on C: however no logs are in it)

I currently have Total Security 2013 installed (installed this morning) and I am having troubles with setting up a SafeBox sync.

I have removed the default folder and created my own on a different drive:

The folder has a little BitDefender icon, so I assume it has accepted the folder:

However each time I try and sync or it tries to auto sync I am given an Event error with zero information in it as to why, only the files that have failed (ranging from .rar, .jpeg and .kdbx)

I can upload files to Safebox via the website.

I have tried the Firewall settings in Bitdefender on Aggressive and Normal. There is no other Firewall on this PC, nor anything that should block it.

Any info greatly appreciated.

After Syncing almost 2GB of files I have lost over half of them. When trying to access safebox all I see is:

"To use Safebox, you must first download and install on your computer a product that includes the Safebox module, or buy a license to upgrade your current product."

If I don't see that message then I see "This service is undergoing maintenance. Please check back again later." Moreover, I can access the files from my the safebox android app but not through "MyBitdefender".

When going to the safebox feature in my bitdefender app it is impossible to stop syncing.

When right clicking on a folder to "Restore deleted files" it does absolutely nothing. Luckily I have managed to recover some of the files from my system with another tool but some of them are ruined and are cannot be opened. What's worse is that some of these are photoshop files that took a long time to make.

Is there a way to uninstall safebox completely?

I hope fo some response.

Will SafeBox try to sync these files again later or will I need to manually try to sync them?

I'm all new to Bitdefender (comming from Kaspersky), so please excuse me, if this is a newbie error.

I have made an account at "mybitdefender" and in settings I have made it log in at every boot. If I click at the top of the window at "Mybitdefender" it says:

You are logged in as: (my username), and I can then click on the button "Go to "Mybitdefender".

Instead I go back to mainscreen, click on settings for SAFEBOX, and then the error shows:

You are not loggen in. Please login to Mybitdefender to use Safebox ??!!?? I have just checked, that I AM logged in!

On "Mybitdefender" web-page, I can not see my PC and my licenced Total Security, only my netbook with the free edition of Bitdefender. Why is my payed version not shown? Does these 2 things have anything to do with eachother? If I check at the top under "Products", my paied licens is showing up normally, so my account knows I have 2 different programs.

As English is not my first language, I excuse for errors, but I do it as good as I can (I am from Denmark)

i m tired of bitdefender now..After 3 months of experiments you were able to tell me safebox issue resolved,

It worked for 4-5 days..again empty safebox showing 54 mb used..

My antitheft was showing wrong location..you guys are still not able to resolve it after more than a month.

Laptop keeps giving me blue screen after BD installation..no solution.

Please dont tell me to send you P.M.,

My safebox is empty, but shows as 6% full.

Not only that, I cannot get it to work. Clicking on Manage folders does nothing, neither does 'Go to Dashboard', and 'Auto Sync' switch keeps going to off. Also, every time I open the settings, I have to enable safebox.

It's a very strange feature.

My Bitdefender shows 7% used

This is my first post in forum..i dont know if the topic has been marked as closed or not , but..

I am facing same problem here..have done reinstallation may be 10 times..updated windows sp1..everything what support suggested..

At the end i have come here with a hope.

My safebox is showing 72% full with only one jpg image in it.

I dont know why this simple thing cant be solved by Bitdefender..They are saying previous patches of Mcafee might be intrupting proper operation..

I think as a software product BD must be able to sort out these basic problems..otherwise BD must admit that the product is still on experminal stage.

I read many reviews and bought BD against Mcafee..Mcafee didnt give a problem for even a second..But this software i have been with for around a month hasn't even started functioning properly.

Antitheft is showing my location in Iran..i m sitting in Mumbai..whats the point of having Anti theft it cant show a proper location.

Fileshredder would say No FILES WERE DELETED..but if you check it in folder its gone..its scary moment..you dont know if its been deleted or still lying somewhere.

Now i feel i should have visited the forum and not the review sites before buying the product..

Well, Safebox has disappeared completely from the main console. It's still on the online account.

Can I turn this off ? I don't need a safebox , what does it do? I have dropbox and sugarsynch already installed on my computer. Neither of those require the computer to be restarted each time.
