All our network affected with ransomware attack, now all my files are got encrypted

and file name changed to [E856560D-2989].[globalport@tuta.io].DLL

Hello all,

I'm coming from a format and a fresh installation of Windows 7 64bit but I'm facing a strange issue. I'm trying to open a vault file that was working fine until the last time i accessed it (1 month ago) and I get that the password I type is invalid and that it must be at least 8 characters long. I'm typing random long passwords just to test and this message appears all the time. Any ideas why is this happening?

HI,

I am using Total Security 2013, I had created a vault File and have been using it for past few months, Until past two days, it has refused to Open.

When Input the Password, I get a pop up saying

BIT DEFENDER TOTAL SECURITY

The open operation failed.

I am sure that i am putting the correct password because i use almost on a daily basis,,

I have a number of important file...

need help how to access it

Hi,

Can I safely keep my .bvd file in my Google Drive folder so that it automatically gets backed up to Google Drive?

Then, if my hard drive fails, and my only copy of the bvd file is on Google Drive, can I download that file to my new computer and be able to access and open the bvd file?

Can I backup the .bvd file to an encrypted thumb drive? The thumb drive is encrypted using True Crypt.

File Vault Won't Open

I cannot create and open any vaults. I used a simple password 12345678, but still get the error. The status of the file vault is unmounted. See screen prints.

I upgraded my Bitdefender to the newer version now I cannot open the file vault. I put my password in and then click open but nothing happens, except for a quick flash of the screen saying please wait while the specified vault is being processed.

Is it possible that the file was corrupted in the update?

Are there any solution suggestions?

I wanted to change usb drive so i made cut-paste to another usb drive but after this it showed this. I tried to recover old file but it showed the same thing.

If i double click the file it show's this

If i´ll go from deck it show's this

Fail To Open Drive

When I want to create file vault, after hitting the "Create & Open" button, it says: "The file (...).bvd failed to be opened on drive (label).

I tried with other drive letters and different paths but nothing changed and it still won't open.

I send a log and asked BitDefender support a week ago but no one answered me. 3 days ago I sent another email and again no one answered.

my OS is WIN8 pro 64bit,and when I use file vault wizard to create a new file ,it failed at the last step, the error message is like the attach can't format the new file. somebody help? thx

Vault Wizard Crashes

The vault wizard crashes as soon as I open it. It crashes on the file browser before I can do anything. Any idea why this is?

Hello,

Accessing and Right-clicking then Properties both show that it's location is at "C:\Users\James\Games (2).lnk". This is very strange, because it's actually located on my desktop.

I also made a second one to see if it's only this vault that has this problem, but my newly created vault also thinks it is at "C:\Users\James\Games (2).lnk".

I've tried removing then re-adding the vault, but it stays the same.

The only think that relates to "Games (2).ink" is when I tried to make a shortcut to one of my folders, which didn't work (nothing seemed to happen).

My vault still works, it's just strange...
