Quick question.  I was very impressed to see that Anti-Theft located me to within one house of my residence...  Can you tell me how that works?  My computer does not have GPS and if it used my ISP information it would have located me in another town entirely as that's where I show up when i use "Whatismyipaddress.com" and where Speedtest.net also puts me...  Only your technology has near my exact location...</p>
<p>
Also... I had installed Total Security 2013 but uninstalled it and went just with the Free AV because Total Security seemed so bloated and slowed things down.  I chose to use the free version as well as Malware Bytes. HitMan Pro and the Windows Firewall.  Hope I made the correct decision because the total Security license was not chea.p...  </p>
<p>
Anyhow - I had completely uninstalled Total Security and did not install any anti-theft software.  Can you tell me how it is that when I log into my dashboard the anti-theft option is there and functioning?  I'm just not so sure I enjoy the idea of people knowing exactly where i am at all times.  LOL</p>
<p>
Just looking for general information.  Please feel free to respond to me directly as I'm not sure this forum will advise me of responses.</p>

I  choose a trial Bitdefender Total Security 2013 before I buy It. Today I try, in my Toshiba Satellite with WIN8, the Anti-Theft. I thought: -"I choose a pin and if someone take my pc away I activate it". </p>

Well...</p>

Now I have the screen of my pc saying "Bitdefender safe lock &gt;" and I've nowhere to insert the pin. The lights of Caps lock and NUM Lock are flashing. I can't do anything with my pc!!!!</p>
<p>
With another I joined my bitdefender account but I can't delete the pin or stop the anti theft!!!!</p>
<p>
I need to work with my pc tomorrow!!!!´</p>

        <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi I had a burglary 2 nights ago.  At the time I checked the location of my laptop and it said it was at my home still.  I spoke via the online chat with your teams and sent them a screen grab asking them if they could confirm if this information was correct and was not cached information.  They said that this would be escalated ASAP and we are now 36 hours on from the robbery, approximately 33 hours since the initial query with yourselves and I have not as far as I can see had a response back.</p>
<p>
I have also asked if at all possible could yourselves release the IP address that is associated so that we can trace this through to the ISP with the police.  I'm presuming that this is logged.</p>
<p>
I have also asked if the police can have a contact number for yourselves to discuss directly as this is time critical before the laptop no longer reports and all out the possessions that we had stolen from our home go missing almost certainly permanently.</p>
<p>
Please help with this if at all possible or at least let me know the update / progress to-date rather than the standard response of "this has been escalated as a priority and we will contact you via email ASAP".  This is really about helping us to find our personal belongings.</p>
<p>
Anything you can do to help would be great and I really do apologies for raising this in a public forum.  I'm hoping there could be some really good publicity for yourselves if our belongings can be recovered.  It makes a great story to tell prospects.  In-fact the anti theft is one of the reasons I continue to use yourselves.</p>
<p>
The downside is that if the location part of the site is not actually connecting to my device and has not had any updates since it has been taken then you have a serious flaw that should be eradicated as the acquired time stamp changes.</p>
<p>
It would be useful if you could pull to the dashboard, mac address, public IP address and the time stamp the laptop last reported.  With this data a lot can be done through other means to track a location.</p>

Starting with 11.27.2013, you now have the possibility to remove any unwanted device from Bitdefender Anti-Theft.</p>

In order to remove a duplicate device or one that is no longer in use, access the My Bitdefender portal. Click on the Anti-Theft icon or use the following link:</p>

        <description><![CDATA[<p>Hello,today I decided to try the Anti-Theft feature from BitDefender to see if it works.Well apparently it works too well,the laptop's screen is all-black and on the top left it asks for the pin that I previously chose to unlock it.The thing is that the keyboard is locked and I cannot type the pin.Can anyone help me please?I really need to use the computer immediately.</p>]]>

Total protection but in this safe lock I cannot sleep now for project presentation I will make Tommorow I cannot open my own laptop causing this disturbing safe lock why I'm suppose to suffer on this problem .  I though this forum is the fastest way to help people like meh to solve this problem. But until now no one in the admin answer my help or question m Again my laptop is Sony vaio E series i5. Windows 8 . Why no one admin can help meh on this problem now I'm behind schedule for Tommorow pres yay ion I cannot report to the company I work for and it me result this for termination . All project was saved on my laptop that I can't open anymore my laptop keyboard dis baked , I'm using wireless keyboard also didn't work I try every way to rescue my program but still failed. I tried many time posting here to get your Attention but still no one in this admin help me. Why tou cannot reply me I'm only a couple of hours for the schedule of our meeting . I'm too stress and depress now how to open my laptop . No one oin the admin is online. Why like this. Inyu this security with my own money plus I cannot find help from anyone of you in the admin.i tried everything to post just to get your attention but no one reply me. What help I can get from you,how I can reach you just to read my message on this forum. I'm truly depresses on this forum if only I will suffer this I will not buy this  but I bought this because it says bitdefender is the top one in the list of all anti virus but in this kind of emergency you cannot provide me a little help?..
