I am starting to get very frustrated that bitdefender keeps popping up asking me to login to MyBitdefender. </p>
<p>
I do not wish to have data linked to my identity pasted through the internet (even if it is secured, encrypted or anything else) such that I do not want to log in.</p>
<p>
At least on a daily bases, maybe more, I have to click close on a pop up asking me to log in. I have searched for an option to prevent this from happening but can not find one. Can someone please direct me to this option? OR have it implemented in an update?</p>
<p>
At the moment this seems like the behavior of a virus, ie a pop up asking me for login information with out my consent. </p>
<p>

        <description><![CDATA[<p>I am not happy with the Bitdefender user interface and I particularly dislike the annoying popup for the Mybitdefender login. I have reviewed online discussions that go back a few years and I know similar concerns expressed in this forum by Bitdefender customers are not adequately addressed. Complaints go largely unanswered. Responses tend to extoll the virtues of the added features. Clearly, the company is not interested in offering an opt out feature to the annoying popup. It strikes me as a bad business model.</p>
<p>
Yes, I have registered a Mybitdefender account and yes, the popup persists. No, I do not care to use any of the features. All I want is a robust program that updates regularly and scans my emails and downloads, etc. I do not want a program that constantly asks me to log in or review weekly reports. Let me decide what features I want to use.</p>
<p>
There must be a work around. Does anyone know what service or process I can disable? Is there a tweak to the system registry?</p>
<p>
How is the popup generated? Is it through the installed program or is Bitdefender calling home and generating the popup regularly off the Internet? Can I block Bitdefender from downloading this popup?</p>
<p>
If I cannot resolve this issue, I will not renew my subscription.</p>]]>

        <description><![CDATA[<p>I am new to Bitdefender and this forum.  I have searched the posts and noticed that Christian is on a lot of the registration resolution ones.  I tried sending a PM.  I am not really sure if I initiated it correctly but I received an error stating "This message can not be sent because the recipient has their personal messenger disabled or they are in a member group not allowed to use the personal messenger.  This personal message has not been sent".  So as my trial countdown continues, I figured I would post for help.</p>
<p>
Here is the problem I am encountering.  I purchased a box copy of a 3 PC 1 year licence of Bitdefender Internet Security 2013.  I installed the disc on my laptop while not connected to the internet.  When I was asked to enter the registration key, since I was not connected to the internet, I selected the trial version.  When I did connect to the internet, I clicked on the 30 days left link at the bottom of the dashboard and entered the Registration Key listed on the back of the CD sleeve into the Licence Key field and clicked Register Now.  I received an error saying to enter it again so I entered it again and then I received a message stating that "The licence key entered is currently used in the product.  You cannot register the product twice with the same key."</p>
<p>
I then tried to create an account through the MyBitdefender drop down "Account Settings" option at the top of the window in the dashboard and received an error stating "Your internet connection has timed out causing the authentication to fail. Please submit your information again."  I tried several times and received the same error.  I believe I had an internet connection because I was able to access various internet sites. I went to the bitdefender.com site and created a Mybitdefender account there and registered by licence but when I went back to try to enter my new account information through the dashboard again I received the same Internet timeout error.  </p>
<p>
I sent through an email ticket but it has been over 24 hours and have not received a confirmation or reply.  So then I created a forum account so that I could send a PM to ask for help but received the above noted error.  Now, here I am asking for help please.</p>

I added the renewal key and it shows separately in MY BITDEFENDER products with 365 days left and didn't ADD the new license to the current one 93+365 = 458 days. Now it seems to me I'm going to have these 2 license clocks tick down on me simultaneously wasting 93 days of the renewal license. Is this the case? If so, can support add the two together? I have been using BD IS for a few years now and after buying another key (eBay) I re-activated. BD 2013 has been working fine until today where it now says that my activation is invalid.</p>

I've done a search of the forum for other similar problems and found one by Noel Clover. Following that example to take the repair option (shown how by this link <a href="http://www.bitdefender.com/support/how-to-...ender-1087.html" rel="external nofollow">http://www.bitdefender.com/support/how-to-...ender-1087.html</a> (I'm on Vista 64bit on 2 PCs and Win 7 on another) and restarted, but no luck.</p>

When I log onto my BD online Dashboard account the status shows over 639 days left but says there are problems, and there is a Fix All button. I tried this but it didn't work.</p>
<p>
Any ideas please, or have I just purchased a dodgy activation code?</p>

I am unable to register the Licence key that was bought in India for Bitdefender Total security 2013.</p>
<p>
Message Received while registration Process:</p>
<p>
The Licence key is restricted in your region and can't be used to register the product you have installed.Contact Support to get help with the Issue.</p>
<p>
Note</p>
<p>
1)I am still living in india in the same area</p>
<p>
2)I am at present using 2014 trail version of bit defender total security i tried the key in both with same error</p>
<p>
3)I did contact bitdefender twice with no response</p>
<p>
Plz help trail version expires in 16 days</p>
