        <description><![CDATA[<p>I just received an automated e-mail from support say "you have an open support ticket. Your ticket is is: 99999999999999 (example). This ticket is on hold pending your input".</p>
<p>
I have not idea on how to respond or even find my open ticket. As a small business owner I do not have the time to invest in learning how. Why not make it simple? Have a link in the support e-mail that takes me right to the open ticket and any response from Bitdefender. Do not make this a difficult process.</p>
<p>
Can someone, in plain language, explain a very simple one-click process to access my open ticket and see any responses from Bitdefender?</p>
<p>
The Bitdefender product seems very good but the processes to address customer issues seems overly complicated. Maybe I am missing something?</p>

	I have purchased bit defender and have been enjoying it for the last 6 months or so. However i noticed that after upgrading to windows 10 around April 2016 my pc would hang at times. Being a software developer i first thought the issue was Android Studio  (<a>/index.php?/forum/401-general/&amp;do=add" rel=""&gt;https://forum.bitdefender.com/index.php?/forum/401-general/&amp;do=add</a>)   but later i was able to drill down and see that the culprit was vsserv.exe The BitDefender Security Service.

	recently it has become worse and i regularly have to stop working altogether because my drive D is in 100% use! I even moved Android Studio to drive C to see if this would help but for some reason its still Drive D that gets the 100% usage.

As of yesterday when I installed an update for Bitdefender 2014, that required a computer restart, I have been unable to access my Web Hosting Management interface and my Control Panel (I own a dedicated server). Everytime I try to enter for example&gt; example.com/whm IE reports a "page not found" message; Chrome reports:  "The webpage at <a href="http://www.example:2086/" rel="external nofollow">http://www.example:2086/</a> might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address. Error code: ERR_CONTENT_DECODING_FAILED"; and Firefox reports: "Content Encoding Error </p>
<p>
The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because it uses an invalid or unsupported form of compression. Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem."</p>
<p>
Their tech support reported the server was working correctly (in fact i was able to access WHM and Cpanel from my cellphone, so they suggested that I reboot my computer and check my computer antivirus.</p>
<p>
So, I first rebooted my computer to discard a networking issue, but the problem persisted. Then, I uninstalled Bitdefender and rebooted a second time. I was able then to access WHM and Cpanel, without problems. So, my question is, what can it be causing my issue? I need to be able to access my server hosting interface but Bitdefender breaks it. I hope you can help.</p>
<p>
EDIT: After testing this, I decided to reinstall Bitdefender again while typing this post and behold the problem appeared again, I am again locked out of my server login screen.</p>

        <description><![CDATA[<p>I have BD 2014 version 17.27.0.1146 running on a Win 7 Pro x86 Dell Laptop with 4GB of RAM. I used to get occasional BSOD that refrerred to BD but in the last few weeks I have been getting BSOD's on a much much more frequent basis. They seem to come about 2-3 days a week. The BSOD always references bdselfpr.sys. What can I do to stop these? Is there an update or patch I can install? I keep the software updated so unless there is a patch I can get or an option I can turn off Im not sure what else can be done? Have anyone else encountered this problem before?</p>]]>

        <description><![CDATA[<p>In normal cases browsers indicate proper ssl encrytion with valid certificate with switching the url line to another color, additionally a closed lock is shown. If clicking the lock, details of ssl certification and its status are shown.</p>

If 'Scan SSL' is activated in BD-IS 'Privacy control settings', ssl stream seems to be injected by Bitdefender, clicking the closed lock does not show the validation data of generic webpage certification.</p>
<p>
So there seems to be NO direct validation of target server possible, in my opinion BD acts as a local 'Man-in-middle'. This opens serveral cogitable scenarios for spoofing/attacking the secure connection.</p>
<p>
This feature of BD should be analysed in a wide spreaded discussion, it is security related for all ssl connections. Customers must trust to BD not abusing this feature, NSA/CIA and smilar are watching us...</p>

        <description><![CDATA[<p>Idle scan eats up my cpu when I am very much active and NOT Idle on my computer. If this problem is fixed in 2015 I dont care because the 2015 version forces me to uninstall Spyware Blaster and Malwarebytes which is a joke. </p>
<p>
If there is anyway this can be fixed with the 2014 version, I will be extremely grateful. (Yes I can turn off Idle scan but that is only a lazy temporary fix)</p>]]>

The UI (gziface.exe) crashes when I exit Far Cry (first version).  Not when I just load and exit from Far Cry but only if I load Far Cry, play a mission and exit the mission, and then exit from Far Cry.  Windows pops up the following error dialog:</p>

<p>
Clicking the "Close program" button terminates the gziface.exe process.  The "B" tray icon is dead (and disappears when the mouse is hovered over it which means the process for it has vanished).  gziserve.exe remains running; however, the UI to Bitdefender is gone and I have to reload it.</p>

Seems a bit overly sensitive for the UI (gziface.exe) to crash after exiting a fullscreen game.  gziserve.exe (presumably the core of protection) should be monitoring the UI (gziface.exe) to reload it should its process ever disappear.  Bitdefender doesn't protect its own UI.</p>]]>

Last year I posted about a issue where AVC was causing Opera browser to load very slow <a href="http://forum.bitdefender.com/index.php?showtopic=54269" rel=" nofollow">here</a></p>
<p>
Bitdefender support sent me a reg file that turned logging on to help with trying to solve the issue, the issue was only solved when Opera released a browser update in Dec 2014. The problem I now have is support didn't send me the reg file to disable logging again when I requested they send me it. Now the C:\ProgramData\Bitdefender\AVC folder has almost 3GB of log files thaking up space on my SSD boot drive.</p>

I replaced the 1 at the end with a 0 for each line that had 1 at the end &amp; booted into safe mode &amp; then imported the edited reg file &amp; then deleted the contents of the log folder &amp; then restarted back into normal mode &amp; now the AVC folder is empty apart from the Feedback folder. I had to do this to get the sapce back &amp; save the SSD from the almost constant writes the log files were doing.</p>

It would have been nice if support had sent me the reg file to disable logging when I asked for instead of me having to figure it out myself. Just wanted to check with the forum staff that the edited reg file to stop the logging is ok.</p>]]>

Today I installed Windows 8.1 Pro x64 &amp; got all the windows updates available, boot time was fast when rebooting, after installing BDAV+ 2014 there is now a delay of aboput 43 secs to over 1 min after the Windows 8.1 boot screen, after the boot screen there is just a blank black screen for the afore mentioned time, If I uninstall BDAV+ 2014 then boot time goes back to normal, install it again &amp; the boot time is delayed by quite a bit of time.</p>
<p>
I have seen other posts on here about this but thought it had been resolved, the main reason for me installing Windows 8.1 was for the faster boot times, I did not have this issue on Win 7 x64</p>
<p>
If this continues then I will have to stop using BDAV+ or go back to my reflect free backup of Win 7 x64.</p>
<p>
Any ideas?</p>

So I uninstall Avast free AV because I read some great reviews of BD2014 and how easy on resources and how good it is with dealing with viruses so I installed the free 30 day trial and on my second day of usage I have this massive problem where I can't have my hidden files displayed and can't hide the "extensions for known file type". </p>

I basically installed it yesterday, run the update and restart, did a fast scan, then a vulnerability scan, but canceled it when it tried to change my update settings without my permission, today I did a full scan which took way too much, 2 and a half hours and just now realized my files are hidden, went to unhide them and can't do it.</p>

EDIT: Okay, so the issue was fixed with restart, but now there is no taskbar icon for BD</p>]]>

        <description><![CDATA[<p>I recently installed the free version of Bitfender for my laptop, windows 8.1.  When coming out of sleep mode, the icon wasn't listed in my task bar.  Does this mean it wasn't running?  How do I get it to run continuously?  I uninstalled Norton 360, because i was tired of seeing the double icon, and slow down on my system. </p>

        <description><![CDATA[<p>A message box telling me "To ensure full protection, Bit Defender needs to close applications, such as Firefox...etc".  The message box closes Firefox when accepted, but if I don't accept it or cancel it, it stays in the background at all times.  </p>

Bitdefender total security may be causing me a headache.</p>
<p>
Has anyone else run into this and, if so, how did they solve it.</p>
<p>
It is my opinion that the problem could be a DEP issue.</p>
<p>
"(Data Execution Prevention (DEP) helps prevent damage from viruses and other security threats that attack by running (executing) malicious code from memory locations that only Windows and other programs should use.)"  </p>
<p>
It appears to me that bitdefender is blocking outlook.com because it believes that something in opening the page is trying to access something it should not.</p>
<p>
The issue is that connection to the internet is solid.  Other websites open fine (gmail, frontier, craigslist,</p>
<p>
ebay, bitdefender, etc. etc.).  And, outlook.com opens fine if I access it from my iphone (showing that</p>
<p>
there is no problem with outlook.com's website).  No bitdefender on the iphone.</p>
<p>
This leads me to the conclusion that something is blocking access to outlook.com.  Infact, I cannot access outlook by any of these methods: clicking on the outlook icon in explorer, using www.outlook.com in the command line in outlook, using www.hotmail.com in the command line in outlook. Blocked. Period.</p>
<p>
Now the next factor.... I installed bitdefender on my computer (vista OS on an HP) and on my wife's computer (windows 7 on an Ibm thinkpad) about 6 months ago.  The only thing in common on these two machines is bitdefender.  Everything worked fine up to 5 days ago.  At that time bitdefender did its update and BOTH machines lost access to Outlook.  Very suspicious.  The logical conclusion is that outlook is being blocked because something (bitdefender) thinks that DEP is a problem.</p>
<p>
So, what does the group think?  Anyone else have a similar problem?  Anyone have a way to solve this issue.</p>]]>

        <description><![CDATA[<p>Got a quick question.  I have a Mac that I am now using exclusively offline.  I have bitdefender installed there, and everyday, or every other day (I think, haven't timed it exactly), it turns yellow with the "Anti virus signatures are outdated" text on top.  (I'll sometimes briefly connect to the internet just to download the update).</p>
<p>
My question is, how does bitdefender realize that it needs an update without internet connection? I assumed it must just be a timed thing built into the software that comes up even without being connected to the internet, just want to confirm that.  (I want to make sure my computer isn't somehow connected to the internet without my knowing).</p>
