I received this email today. I suspect it is a fake because I signed in to my Bitdefender account on my desktop and on my browser, and I don't see a new alert. The alerts I have are all around websites I was visiting today.
The email is genuine, as any email that ends with @bitdefender.com or @***.bitdefender.com is genuine.
Regarding the image shared, it is also genuine because Bitdefender Identity Theft Protection uses the services of IdentityForce for this particular product.

In the email, they tell me to log in to my dashboard and click the new alert button. It's supposed to take me where I can review an alert about my data on the Dark Web. In my dashboard, I see no such alert. I click Notifications, the bell in the upper right. I see threats blocked, but I see nothing about the Dark Web. Given that I've received four emails from gies.john@gmail.com recently (or at least it appears to be gies.john@gmail.com) that were clearly phishing attempts, I'm suspicious of anything that I'm not expecting. I sign in, and I don't see what I've been told to look for.

The notification is genuine. Dark Web alerts are part of Bitdefender Identity Theft Protection, which is delivered together with IdentityForce. The bell icon in Bitdefender Central only shows device notifications, such as blocked threats and websites. Identity alerts appear in a separate section.
1. Go to https://central.bitdefender.com and sign in 2. Select Identity Theft Protection in the left menu 3. Open BreachIQ → My Breach Exposures, where any breach linked to your data is listed (see screenshot) 4. Then check the Alerts tab, where Dark Web alerts appear together with the recommended actions
Under My Breach Exposures and the Alerts tab you will find all data breaches linked to your information, including the one referenced in the email, which should be the most recent entry.
