Automatic Subscription Renewal Scam. Any Ideas?
Attention new users and ethical beings everywhere,
Just renewed my subscription, manually, on the 29/12/2022. And, the scummy way that bitdefender hides informed financial consent by not providing a check box (or ANY OTHER ordinary discoverable option) for automatic subscription renewal is still happening.
All new subscribers be aware that bitdefender is a financial scam artist. They use scummy clandestine and unethical business practices to unethically charge any payment linked to their subscriptions.
Bitdefender is running a purposeful and concealed payment scam on their subscriptions.
Please be aware and forewarned that all subscriptions are automatically renewed without your permission. You are NOT provided with a choice and bitdefender purposefully hides and obfuscates this scummy payment scam in the fine print and purposefully makes this UNNECESSARY scummy automatic renewal difficult to cancel.
Bitdefender automatic subscription renewal is a disgusting, repulsive and unnecessary financial scam.

Just follow the steps as described in Method 1, because some users in the past reported that the steps from Method 2 didn't stop the auto-renewal.

This is a totally unsubstantiated claim and very far from the truth. The reality is, in 2022 most services are subscription based and the antivirus industry is no exception. We are all customers of various services, including myself. Recurring billing is a payment model that enables vendors and service providers to charge their customers at predefined intervals for the products or services they purchase and it's practiced worldwide. It's not something new or fraudulent, as long as consent is given by the user at the time of purchase.
The Bitdefender security solutions come with an automatic renewal feature that allows you to conveniently retain your protection when your Bitdefender subscription expires, without having to go through all the motions of manually renewing your cyber-security solution. A subscription assumes continuity and is defined by the configuration preferences of the automatic renewal feature. Of course, you will receive an email notification before the actual renewal takes place.
This notification will provide you with all the details about automatic renewal, including a link for easy cancellation of the service. If the auto renewal option remains active, your Bitdefender subscription will be automatically extended and this will keep your defenses activated without interruption for all devices covered by your current subscription.
Please keep in mind that, whether you want to activate the renewal option or disable it, you can do it anytime.
