Yep, and same here, AGAIN, again, again.

COME ON BITDEFENDER! - this is totally ridiculous. Thousands, if not tens of thousands of your customoers are repeatedly wasting hours and hours on this nonsense. This is supposed to be an enterpise class product! This is a joke!

I run a small business and have been battling with this issue for MONTHS across multiple PCs with different OSs and it's driving me and the staff insane. Spending hours trawling web for solutions, trying all the solutions, your "official" releases (few and far between) and users own recs. Some work for a while, then as soon as random auto update number xyz happens, back to square one. In the meantime, every single ###### day having to manually change the firewall / network profile on every machine back from Public to Trusted.

SORT THIS OUT! - it is totally unacceptable.

I tell you, if users started organising themselves to take out class action law suits against lame software developers for wasting millions of dollars of collective time trying to fix their rubbish coding, we would soon see rapid response and fixes, or perhaps even proper QC in the first place!

We have used multi-PC licenses for BitDefender for 6 or 7 years now, but if this issue isn't fixed within the next month, not only we will absolutely NEVER be re-licensing BitDefender again, but I will make it my life mission to inform every last person I know and post on every last tech mag, webzine, forum, blog et al what a total pile of trash BitDefender has become and that tech support are clueless and could not care less about rapid fixes.

Consider this you being put on notice. You have 30 days.

    Kind regards,

Should I create a ticket? I have what is a product containing a firewall that never works until its manually started which I dont think is acceptable.

  • I too have the problem that after every re-boot of my PC the firewall of BD 2011 is turned off and also after turning back on I have to switch it from "game mode" to allow known programs. A reply with a solution would be much appreciated.

  • Add me to the list of users with this issue.... I have it on three machines same isssue

  • Same problem here. I'm a reseller of your product and use it in my business and home PCs.

Windows XP SP3 32-bit - firewall disabled after every reboot - fix or enable , runs fine until next reboot

Windows 7 SP1 32-bit - firewall diabled after every reboot - fix or enable, runs fine until next reboot

Windows 7 SP1 64-bit - firewall starts and runs fine after every reboot. Has done so for months!

I have tried the /uninstall, download, re-install a number of times.

I have updated everything a number of times.

I have now run out of patience.

I sell other products... and unless I get a professional response from BitDefender about this... I will no longer sell or support this product.. in fact I will become a vocal nay-sayer about this product for this point alone.

Not a single thing is logged in any event logs about the settings change... or any attempt to start the firewall. The only thing I see when I 'fix' the problem, or manually go into preferences and enable the firewall... is that the status has changed.

    Doh!

I've logged tickets before. Spoken to LOCAL support in South Africa (supposedly a selling point of this product here)... and nothing is done.

Trying to keep my cool. But man this is an annoying problem. It really ###### to find this thread with entries since early September without ANY response.

How can you ignore a problem like this with your product? After a reboot your customer's PCs have no firewall... and all they get is a little red dot and an exclamation point on it. AND YOUR MARKETING TRIES TO SCARE THE ###### OUT OF EVERYONE WHO DOESN'T PROTECT THEMSELVES!!?!?!?!?!

    Absolutely unacceptable.

    Respond to your customers.

    Fix it.

Improve your product and developers and don't let it happen again.

    Else you're FIRED!

That's what I would hope to hear from your development manager... talking to his team.

I've started having this problem in the last week. I was using BD total 2012 but was having way to many problems with other programs and that working together. I switched back to 2011 a few months ago but now have to turn on my firewall every time I turn on my PC. I'd like to know if there is a fix yet?

    thanks
