Bitdefender Antivirus Plus 2012 (and Older) Blocking All Internet Connections
About year or two ago I changed my AV from BitDefender to another AV and in a meantime I upgraded my system, what involved changing OS from Vista to Windows 7 (64bit). Two days ago I gave BD a chance again and purchased it again (Bitdefender Antivirus Plus 2012). And now I recalled why I uninstalled it last time. It blocks all internet connections. Currently I have about 120 tabs open in my Firefox (don't ask why), and at the beginning is fine, but if I run other internet software or open a large google spreadsheet, it blocks all connections, all programs that are connected to internet stall (or at least the data exchange) and it is impossible to kill it's processes in Process Explorer. I just have to restart my computer, and like 15 minutes ago I had to cut the power off because I had to wait for too long. The browser I'm currently using is Firefox, but I remember exactly the same problem with Chrome when using BD 2010 on my older machine. I know other users had similar problems. Is 2 years (or more) not enough to fix this bug? The firewall I'm using is ZoneAlarm Free 10 (before it was the same maker). The AV I've just uninstalled didn't have any problems even if I had about 180 tabs open at some point. I remember that with BD2010 I had to limit the number of open tabs to rougly 20 and it wasn't good idea to open 2 browsers at the same time. Is there a chance that this bug will be fixed soon? (My machine is pretty strong: 8GB RAM, some good Intel proc., huge HD space, wasn't bad before). Thank you

Hi Lucas
In order to be able to properly identify the causes for the reported situation and find a solution we will need to investigate a bit deeper.
Please follow the steps below and send us the result:
a ) Go to this page
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinte...s/bb963902.aspx and download the autoruns file.
b ) Extract the contents of the downloaded file and run the 'autoruns.exe' file;
c ) Wait for the list to be filled with all the processes and then make sure that you have the Everything tab selected in the upper part;
d ) Click on the Disk icon right under File and chose any location folder on your computer;
e ) Save the file with a specific name (your name, computer name, a random name, which one you want) and then send me a PM with it.
If the file is too big to attach it, upload it on
or
and send me a PM with the download link.
We will analyze the information you sent and then reply with a possible solution in the shortest time.
