Dashboard Update Interval

How often does the dashboard update? I installed the client app on my son's phone and registered it with the dashboard. I now see updates under Web and Applications but nothing for SMS which is what I primarily want this for. I know there is activity for SMS on his phone as I have been sending messages back and forth with him to test this app out.

    The dashboard finally updated after a few hours. SMS only shows the number associated with the incoming or outgoing text message but not the content.

    Also, what version of Android are you using? Do you have an active internet connection and the GPS turned on?
