Antivirus 2013 And Internet Security 2013 Crashes Windows 7
I have had this happen on several of my computers this last week. Locks up the system acts like a hard drive is out. Scan hard drive and errors show that HD is bad. Remove BDefender from Safe Mode system returns to normal. HDD scans return to healthy. WHY?? problem initiates when a disk or usb added to system. auto scan locks up and freaks windows and hard drive out completely; one system locked up into BSOD until i removed BDefender.
I have been a fan of BD but wow this has cost me a lot of time and money this week! should I just go to new AV product??

Koenig12, I'm having the same issue. I restart my PC, and it won't load Windows 7 again. It sits @ the Windows loading screen after the PC goes through POST. I have to go into safe mode, and uninstall Bitdefender. It's almost like the service fails to start. After the removal in safe mode, I reinstall it and it's fine. However, I purchased the program about 2 weeks ago, and I've already had to do this twice. This is insane that such a highly rated AV would crash like this.0 -
Been a die hard fan of BD but I'm starting to question things. I support a lot of stand a alone pc's and small networks. Running BD AV 2013 and it locked up my system with errors and blue screen. After Reinstalling the HD 3 times, i had 3 other systems doing the same thing, so I finally figured out it was Bitdefender.
Brand New system WIN8, 64bit, installed BD AV2013, system went to blue screen says memory issue with a sad face. I uninstalled BD and system was then responsive, but upon boot it says Explorer.exe "hard issue" Dell is telling me its malware and to reload the OS. Its been used 2 hours!! I ran the BD online scanner and Kapersky and it didn't find anything. I then tried to reinstall BD and it downloads the first file says "internet connection required to install this software". Its online and working ok but slow.
Brand new computer that I have spent 6 hours on trying to get it up and running....
