Can somebody explain what Bitdefender means "Disinfection"? And what actions can be possible by disinfection?

    Hi,

If a file is found as infected, the disinfection is done exclusively by the engines. However, the disinfection routine is different for each infection.

Should you have any enquiries please post back.

  • Perhaps this refers to the infection file and polymorphic viruses.

What routines/actions are possible? As far as I know there are only following actions available

    1) Rename

    2) Unhide

    3) Disinfect/Repair/Heal

    4) Block/Deny

    5) Move to Quarantine/Chest

    6) Delete

Actually the way you are using "disinfection" term is not clear, it may mislead the users. It needs some better understanding.

  • How the disinfection done by Take Proper Action is different from Quarantine because in both there is an option to Recover and Restore respectively?
