Something Doesn't Make Sense

I ran a Full System Scan overnight and this is part of the results

An On Demand scan has completed.

The scan took: 04:32:58

Files scanned: 898213

Infected items detected: 9

Files known to be clean: 17142

Scan Paths

Path Status

C:\ completed

Scan Results

No infected items have been found.

How can it first say that 9 infected items were discovered then having completed the scan report that No infecte4d items have been found.

There is no indication as to what the supposed 9 items were or where they were located - Quarantine contains just one file which has been there for around a week so is not part of the scan.

Is Bitdefender free reliable? How can I check what it detects and what it blocks? What if it blocks something that is genuine, how will I know?

Go in the Events section. and see all the details of your scan. On the second page where you see the listed infections found(the 9 items you're talking about) you will also see a message like " Some files could not be scanned because there are not enough rights".

Bitdefender lists the password protected archives as suspected of infections. The archives cannot be scanned unless they don't have a password. If your archives are clean you have nothing to worry about.
