Bdlog

Hello ,

I am new to Bitdefender.

After reading several reviews , i decided to buy the TS 2014 Suit.

So far i love it, no issues in autopilot that i have encountered.

But i have a noob question.

When i look in

C:\

I can see a bdlog being formed.

Can this log be moved into the bitdefender folder direct?

C:\Program Files\Bitdefender\Bitdefender

I know this is nothing major, but when i am looking for files this always pops up in my eyes view.

Kind of annoying.

Please advise

THanks,

Athlon64BIT

    Hello Athlon64BIT,

That log is legit, it's a performance log. You can keep it there or delete it. It's up to you, but please note that Bitdefender will recreate it in the same location.

Thank you for contacting us regarding your concern. Have a great day!

    Hello Pushkar Gogte,

That's the way the Bitdefender developers designed the product, they won't change the locations of the files.

Thank you so much for your understanding.

But Then developers can also design the product to store files in Bitdefender installation folder.

Can you please put forward this request to the developers?

  • Also, is it safe to change the file attribute of this log to hidden? I assume it should work okay still.

  • please place this files in bd folder

Please move the bdlog.txt file and all the other files in C:\ that are put there

by Bitdefender to Bitdefender's own folder.

It is very inconsiderate to put files in the main root directory of the system hard disk.

It's just bad style. It is evil.

Imagine every program did that - the root directory would be a complete mess!

Please put this request forward to the developers. As you can see from the replies

above quite a few people would loke to see this changed. Thank you.
