Bitdefender Ts 2013

Options

i am using bitdefender 2013 total security trial. It has detected threats which are clean such as Intel Rapid Storage .exe files and graphics drivers. I searched detected files in "Events" but i can not do anything to tell bitdefender that it is clean . What to do?? I also went to "quarantine" tab to recover them but none of the files detected were present there.

What should I do?

Are people too stupid here that they can't answer a simple question?

hello, you need to add them in TS settings to the antivirus excluded processes list. make sure the allow radio button is selected. then restart and they should work fine without any further warnings.

...doing their job undisturbed, if they are infected... ;)

yeah okay however, when the files are scanned as clean, trusted by the user, haven't been modified. they can still generate an FP blocking them from running without quarantining them. they then do need adding.

In my own systems similar blocked Intel, Asus and ATI driver components on all my machines wouldn't function until I added them to that list. a full system scan from my previous antivirus, bitdefender, mbam all found no problem with them.

    That's true and THX.

My question is: Is there such a stupid user who cannot find "Exclusions" while tries an AV? :o

    Hi XiRw :)

I did see your post the other day, but took it to imply that you had already followed these steps, to recover the files, and that they were hopelessly gone. If that was the case, antikythera had the right idea in re-downloading or re-installing the files and adding them to exclusions.

I think your post #2 may have left you a bit open for some "feedback". We are normally more cordial here, so please don't let this reflect on the Bitdefender forum as a whole, and your impressions of it.

By the way, Toms Hardware is an excellent site, I have learned a lot from their reviews, and forum :)

    Kind regards,

    Scott

I didn't mean your home page. I meant your house.
