Why You Should Avoid Bitdefender

Hi

I thought I'd try and alert people to why they should avoid Avangate and Bitdefender: http://forum.bitdefender.com/index.php?sho...mp;#entry210661

  • When you purchase software via avangate, you receive an email with all the account details and access to downloads/licenses etc.

    They also provide you with a secure access to your avangate account, where you can :

    With Avangate myAccount you can:

    * View order details and keep track of your online orders status

    * Gain access to your online shopping history

    * Re-download license keys/codes* and download invoices

    * Manage your subscription payments (auto-renewal), if your product supports such an option.

    * Renew the license of the purchased software when it expires

    * Find support contact details such as phone and email addresses of software publishers

    * Download the installation files of the purchased software (if Download Insurance was also purchased with your product)

    You can also adjust privacy,and email settings and select whether to receive emails for updates/promotions.

    They give you the tools , up to you to use them.

    I have bought software through their gateway numerous times and never had any of these problems.

    Blaming Bitdefender for a problem Avangate caused is irresponsible. That's like blaming Dell for a terrible purchasing experience at Office Max. If you have an Avangate problem, contact them.

    If they don't respond to your queries, submit a ticket with the BBB. Currently, Avangate has an A+ rating, and they probably aren't going to jeopardize that. You can do that here:

    But no, this problem is NOT Bitdefender's fault. Quit blaming them.
