Bitdefender Killing Utorrent

Looks as though Bitdefender Active Virus Control is killing uTorrent. I have had the the same results with BitTorrent. Both are killed within an hour or so from starting them.

Here is what Windows Event Viewer shows for BitTorrent:

  • I'm having the exact same problem. I tried excluding it, but still crashing.

Just a suggestion, but you should check the Malwarebytes Antimalware Forums. The use of P2P software like UTorrent causes computer vulnerabilities. It MIGHT be that BD is detecting UTorrent trying to bring

something nasty down to your computer.

    Have a great day.

  • There is nothing currently downloading or uploaded in either one, just sitting there. I like ot leave it running so that I can always have remote access if I want to add a torrent when I am not at the PC.

I have no idea if it means anything but my version of BDIS is showing these folders, 'Avc3_00232_005' dated 04/23/14 and 'Avc3_00233_006' dated 04/27/14 under 'Virus Control." Both of those folders contain one copy each of 'avcuf32.dll' and 'avcuf64.dll'. My version of BDIS does not have a 'Avc_00232_002' folder under 'Virus Control'
