yes i agree with you and we need Bitdefender team to find solution for this serious problem

IDS does not work and never shows any alerts for malicious applications on windows x64

  • Just adding to this, I want this to work also.

IDS doesn't do anything on 64 bit of windows when i try malicious applications on x32 and they are detected by IDS then go to try the same malicious applications on x64 IDS does nothing for these applications and i be hacked !

Agreed. I have tested and verified this issue, and it has been reported several times on the forum. No word from Bitdefender though.

  • Hello,

I am still waiting for an answer from our testing team.

As soon as I receive an official response on this behavior I will post back.

  • @Georgia

    The problem is so complicated?

  • is there no hope for this problem to be solved ?!
  • Almost another month has passed and no update about this issue.

  • Hello all and thank you for your patience.

The implementation of IDS is different on x64 systems than on x86, due to a modified hooking level on these systems. This is why the behavior can differ. In these cases, malware detection is performed through other Bitdefender components.

Explain what modules are working in 64-bit environment, if the module is active Active Virus Control? Problems with the hypervisor, is also associated with a 64-bit environment?

Basically why BitDefender and every other security package have issues enabling certain features. At the same time why they are less relevant...

You should install this version of the antivirus product to version 8.1 and above operating systems

  • Question to developers, this feature will no longer work on 64-bit operating systems?
