Bitdefender Internet Security 2015 - High Cpu Usage
Hi,
installed Bitdefender Internet Security 2015 on my Win 7 desktop PC.
Have noticed that approx an hour after PC is started up, bdagent.exe is using 25% CPU for every user that is logged into the PC.
So in my family of 4, if all users are logged in, but none actually using the PC, the CPU is at 100% utilization.
The only way out is to log out all the users, then the only user still logged on shows a consumption of 25%.
If I restart the PC, utilization by bitdefender is 0% until approx again an hour later when it suddenly jumps to 25% and stays there.
I have left the PC on for 48 hours and bdagent.exe utilized 25% of CPU the entire time. Process never stopped or used less CPU.
Screen shot from Task Manager attached.
Bought a 3 device license for 2 years. Now very scared to put this application on mu other 2 devices.
HELP PLEASE...

Hello Rohugh,
Thanks for the welcome and feedback.
I believe the know problem you mention si swith high memory usage (which I also have at approx 300Mb)
I also have any issue with the high CPU usage, which I do not see much mention off on the site.
I had written to Bitdefender Support and they responded asking me to update to the latest (which I was on already) and then do a repair of the installation as the next step I did as per instructions but have had no luck. My only option is to restart the device which gives me about 1.5 hrs (2 if i am lucky) until the CPU and memory usage climbs to the point where the device becomes unusable.
When I sent BitDefender screen shots from my Task Manager to confirm, the feedback I received was that ths level of usage was "very normal" for Bitdefender.
To me, approx. 100% CPU utilization with only once active user (and 2 other users logged in, but not operational with no apps running) is unacceptable under any circumstances.
Will wait to see what the new "tested" update delivers next week
Regards
