After Microsoft Jan. 2016 Windows 10 Updates

My Bitdefender Total Security 2016 has not been able to Update since Microsofts Jan. 12th. 2016 (That is today) UPDATES to Windows 10. Could just be a Coincidence.

I have rebooted 2 or three times. Bitdefender tries to update and then in events it says Update encountered ERRORS. ????????

That is all I know about it.

  • I have the same update problem on two systems, neither of which had the Microsoft updaate so I think this is a BitDefender problem.

  • The update problem seems to have been resolved. :)

It does seem a bit intermittent, hopefully BD are working on it.

I had an update last night and one a few minutes ago when I turned my (gaming) computer back on, I am not forcing updates, just allowing them to come through as required.

  • My windows 8.1 is not updating either just tried that PC. <img class=" />

  • *Looks at signature* - Maybe it is all that other stuff you have installed <img class=" />

My desktop has just updated as well (although you can see there were a number of failures earlier).

Nope they all get along fine never any problems, this just started few days ago like the others have said.

Not Resolved on Two other Computers I just Checked. The PROBLEM Still EXISTS.

I don't know if this makes a difference, but a couple of days ago on the French forum where they were discussing the update problem -Yann- who is Technical Support there suggested to restart Windows, open the cmd box (Command Prompt) and typing ipconfig /flushdns then Enter.

    Try doing this:

Open the Command Prompt and type the following commands -

    ipconfig /flushdns

    ipconfig /release

    ipconfig /renew

Restart Windows and see if the problem is solved.

Well I guess whatever was wrong is fixed. Has been updating for the past 5 days. Glad about that.
