Problems with Bitdefender Firewall and Explorer
Hi,
I have Bitdefender Total Security 2018 installed but since then I am not able to access any network drives anymore with explorer. Something like \\abc.org\home\
When I turn off the FW everything works again. I already added explorer.exe to the allowed applications but still, I have the same problem.
Has anyone encountered the same problem or can help with this?

Hi,
in 2018 this flow is not this way anymore. This said though I gave explorer.exe already allowance for both directions through the FW.
I have the impression there is some other service not able to pass through as I can not access network printers either.

the adapter is set to Home/office. The computer is not part of the domain though. Nevertheless I can access the network using LDAP and an address mentioned above like \\company.org\mydirectory if I am not using the Bitdefender firrewall but instead go through the Windows firewall (or none at all). So I assume there is something blocked once the Bitdefender FW is activated and it seems not to be explorer.exe since the application has both directions opened.
