When I log on my PC, it takes 2-3 minutes at least to load Bitdefender, or at least before I see the application in my taskbar. I start browsing the web, pages loaded and everything for some minute or two before Bitdefender Wallet pops up. Is this normal? I did a logfile for tech support, but it would never send.

You can check task manager to see that bitdefender processes load as soon as you log on. The icon not showing in your taskbar doesn't mean that you are not protected.
The setting regarding the wallet is in password manager settings -> security settings.0
