Change takes hours to affect protected computer

When making changes in Parental control for my daughter’s computer (Windows 10, Lenovo Legion Y530), it often takes hours before the changes are implemented. E.g. If I change schedules or click the "pause activity" button nothing happens instant with the computer. Sometimes it takes 15 minutes and many times hours. It doesn't matter whether I do the changes in the mobile app or through a web browser. It is very frustrating. Today my daughters hasn't been able to use her computer for eight hours and counting.
