This morning "bdservicehost (Bitdefender Virus Shield") started to use too much cpu ~30% permanently for 4 hours and until now.
for me too..
The only solution I found is to reboot my PC and after 24 hours the problem did not reappear.
I don't know if it can be useful, however even the Free version of Bitdefender uses a little too much RAM at rest.
In my opinion it should work to reduce RAM usage.

I have been reading other posts about this because I've had the same problem. It appears to have been a problem for years. I switched to Bitdefender years ago because I had problems with Kaspersky and this has been rated very well. Now I am cut off and my zoom session with clients freezes as does my entire pc necessitating restarting.
I can't do this..this is my work.
Very disappointed. I followed any advice and still it's high. I will be looking for another software to use.

If you choose email, you will get a ticket number on your registered email.
Generate below stated logs and attach it to the ticket number that you received on your registered email.

If the generated logs are larger in size, you can upload the logs to google drive or we.tl (7days link validity for free users) or ask the support team to provide you with the online link & password of bitdefender cloud where you can upload the logs and share the upload link with the support team.
The support team will reply back to the same email within next 24-48 hours excluding weekends.
