Having issue's with Anti-Virus Plus

Noticed windows update wouldn't load, keeps saying one service was not loading. After spending some time troubleshooting, I found that under protection, Vulnerability Scan was preventing windows update from working. Disabling was not enough, I had to open the feature and under settings, also disable the "Windows Updates" toggle. I didn't have this issue during the March windows updates so the problem has developed since then. Any advice to resolve would be greatly appreciated.
