Clash with Google Earth Pro
I have recently installed Bitdefender and VPN. At about the same time, my Google Earth Pro stopped working. I have worked through all of the options offered by the Google Earth Community to no avail.
I have also turned off the BitDefender Firewall. This has also made no difference.
Is anyone aware of a clash between Bitdefender and GoogleEarthPro and if so, is there a fix?
I am running Windows 11 Pro on a Dell I7 with 16GB RAM and an NVIDIA GEForce MX350 card

I am currently using google earth pro with bitdefender total security for more than a year and have never faced any issues.

You mentioned that this happened about the same time that you installed Bitdefender and VPN. Does it happen when VPN is enabled, or even if VPN is off? Otherwise, you could try bypassing Google earth in the Split tunneling option as it now includes the ability to bypass apps as well.
Otherwise, I have no problems with Google earth pro. Windows 11 Pro 64bit, average build of an HP notebook, Bitdefender Total Security.

Thanks folk. I have activated split tunneling which did not help. I guess that the problem is not with BitDefender and I will continue to press Google for assistance.

Let's try this.
Enable the Firewall, in Rules see if you have Google Earth. If so, delete it. Then go into firewall settings and select Alert Mode. Restart your PC and let it get up and running. Then tick your Google earth desktop short-cut to start it, and see if you get a pop-up from BD to allow it through the firewall.
Otherwise, you can try adding Google Earth Pro in AV exceptions, as well as the Firewall.
Maybe one of those will work for you?

I'm sorry to hear that it didn't work.
Your next best option is to get ahold of support from the link at the bottom of the page. They may have you send a log file so they could get a better idea of what the problem may be, but they'll guide you through that.

I'll insert a coin and see if I get any luck. Try to add the .exe file as an exception for the Advanced Threat Defense module.

Alternatively, you can disable the security modules one by one and test Google Earth Pro after each deactivation, to find out which part of Bitdefender is blocking it. The instructions for this are available at following link:

Make sure to reactivate the defenses once troubleshooting is completed.
