Unable to uninstall bitdefender from macOS ventura

I found two trojans post install of bitdefender and bit defender was unable to disinfect it.

When chatting with apple support they told me that these two trojans have been associated with bitdefender. Please see location and Trojan details in the attached image.

After this i attempted uninstall bitdefender. However the component bit defender vpn removal gave an error and an online help suggested that I go to the library and remove certain folders and extensions. After doing as suggested I am left with a folder under system extensions belonging to bit defender that is not removed because of some error regarding access permissions not available. I have two items still showing up in full disk access section of privacy settings: bdagentd & bitdefender. I need these removed.

Kindly advise

  1. how to accomplish a clean uninstall?
  2. what are the two trojans - what purpose do they serve?
  3. why was bitdefender unable to remove them?
  4. can I trust bitdefender from protecting my data ? My trust is shaken by this event.
