Why is Bitdefender preventing fifa 23 from launching?
i added an expectation and it was working for a while but it stopped and i have to deactivate advanced threat defense for it to work

Hello.
This is a known issue and has been already discussed here (just click on "View Post"):
So, do the steps below.
First, take screenshot(s) of the issue
and create a log file on your Windows device using Bitdefender Support Tool, by following these steps:
Next, contact Bitdefender Consumer Support by e-mail:
with short description of the issue.
After that, you will get an automated reply by the Bitdefender Customer Care Team, with your ticket number.
Now, in reply to that automated reply, you can send the screenshot(s) you already took and the log file you already created in the first step.
Since you are all done, just wait for the support engineers to investigate your issue and find a solution to fix the issue.
Remember that the screenshot(s) and the log file will help a lot to the support engineers for better and faster investigation on your issue and finding a solution.

This is the error and the game freezes at this splash screen. i have to close it Alt+F4 and wait for 2 minutes to get a response from the system

As @Gjoksi mentioned, this is an issue that is still under investigation. If you can please, follow the steps he provided to give the engineers more information to help solve this ATD problem. I deleted the log zip file from your post, as that is the file you need to send to support. We do not read log files on the forum.

When you start your email correspondence with them, let them know that you have that log file to submit, they will then send you an email reply in which will give you the ability to submit it. Include your posted image, too.
Click the How to's and troubleshooting box, and go from there, until you get the email option.
And I know it's frustrating, that my previous reply didn't really help, but this will hopefully help them to understand what is causing this issue.

A brief search on the internet revealed that you are not the only user encountering this error message:
According to the below website, FIFA 23 failed to launch because of a bug/glitch within the game.
The EA team is investigating the issue and they are working on a fix.
Apparently, many users are complaining about it on Twitter..

While navigating through the sea of comments, I've noticed that one of the players did the following, I quote:
"I finally got it to work, had to remove "run as admin" on EAAntiCheat.GameServiceLauncher and uninstall the anticheat, after that the game reinstalled the anticheat and it finally worked again.
I also removed everything EA related on my C drive and reinstalled before that, not sure if that was necessary though".

The latest Bitdefender update fixed the issue that Bitdefender was causing.

Hi @myusuf86,
Indeed, I also have confirmation for this. Our developers have recently deployed a fix and the internal tests revealed the compatibility issues are gone now. A signature update will repair the unwanted behavior for games not launching or crashing.
