Bd Wil Not Open Hotmail Or Yahoo Attachments
OK. Here is the problem. After installing internet security 2009 (non upgrade) I am unable to open attachments in hotmail or yahoo but I can from my school email account (university of North Dakota). I get the downloading screen with the flying folders but thats it.
I removed BD and the problem went away, I just dont know how to fix it in program. I have read similar posts but nothing that I can use.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks Scott

you can check partenal control because it controls email and website surfing0 -
In order to correct this issue please make sure to fully update BitDefender first to built 12.0.11.5, then go to Advanced View, Antivirus, Custom Level and uncheck there "Scan Yahoo messenger traffic", "Scan http traffic" and "Scan Windows Live Messenger traffic" then click OK.
Tell me please if you are able to download attachments from webmail like this.0 -
Nope it did not work. I clicked the update button to see if there was any updates avialable but none were. I also uncheck the yahoo and messenger as well as scan http and it still did not work.

Please browse to:
C:\Program Files\BitDefender\ BitDefender 2009
and look for the file called "httproxy.dll" - please tell me what version of this file do you have.
Also, what other security solutions are you running on the system besides BitDefender?0 -
Ok. SOrry it took so long, work and all. The version of the httproxy.dll is 12.0.0.27 (file version) and 12.0.0.12 (product version). as far as other security bit defender is it, everything else is turned off or disabled.

Hello scottmiller,
Please try to disable the Antiphishing protection (if you didn't already try it) and see if anything changes.
