Computer Constantly Re-boots
I just purchased BitDefender 2010. I installed the software. Now my computer continuously re-boot_s. Rolling back to the last working configuration corrects the problem. Please advise.

I have a similar problem. I too just purchased a new copy of BitDefender 2010 Internet Security. Every time I try to run a Deep scan (first deep scan after installation) it scans up to the Root Kit files and at that point my computer reboots. The scan does not get completed and every time I try to update Bitdefender it says "critical problem - your computer has never been scanned"
What do I do ?? Any Ideas?0 -

I have the exact same problem that Justalogin described. My comp also re boot_s when scanning Rootkit files. My BD IS 2010 also displays "your computer has never been scanned" messages.
Went thru other posts and found out about the support tool to make the info dump - PM or mail me for the link please. Am a little uncomfortable putting it out there for anyone to access.0 -

Hi Cory Fite,
It seems that your computer was infected before BitDefender installation.
I advice you to try to start your computer in Safe Mode (with or without Networking) (by pressing repeatedly F8 key and selecting Safe Mode booting).
Then, you may use Rootkit Hook Analyzer (http://www.resplendence.com/hookanalyzer) to see if your computer is infected.
You also can try quickscan (http://quickscan.bitdefender.com) if Networking was enebled.
If still nothing, you can reinstall your operating system then reinstall BitDefender on clean system.
I hope it will help.
Cheers!0
