Hello Nunes
Could you please press on custom level (adjusted level) and press on defaults and take a look that under scan accesses files and P2P transferoptions that the first two options are checked and also last option. Do not forget to press on ok. Go also to general, settings, default settings.

All those options are selected: Scan accessed files,Scan boot and Scan packed files.
I downloaded the eicar test and BD diddn't react.
I think there is something that is not properly functioning, since the antivirus is stated as being active but no files are scanned.

Hello Nunes
Close BitDefender by rightclicking on the icon near the system clock choose for exit. After that put in your installation disc and choose for modify/repair.

Unfortunately this didn't help. Everything works fine except the online scan. Even the on demand scan works.
Could be better an uninstall and install?
Any third party software could be the issue?0 -
Hello Nunes
What other security programs have you installed? Which are running in realtime mode?
Since when did this behaviour occurred? What software did you install or downloaded lately?
BitDefender realtime detects all the examples that you can download here: http://www.eicar.org/anti_virus_test_file.htm
Download this : http://www.bitdefender.com/uninstall let this tool run. Reboot your pc afterwards and install BitDefender again.

I have no other security software. I only detected this in the last 24 hours but I'm not sure if it is happening before.
I remeber to only install in the last days the SECUNIA software inspector.
I will try the reinstall and let you know.0 -
Hello Nunes
The download version of secunia software inspector is still in bèta stage. So there could be still some problems. It could be a conflict with BitDefender and this bèta.
I can only say that when a complete re-installation doesn't work.

I unistall secunia. I uninstall BD with the uninstall tool and install again but no change. I don't have real time scan.
I don't know what to do. Could it be any recent BD update? I'm running out of solutions.0 -
Hello Nunes
Take a look at exclude path from scan (applied to all levels) in the custom level of the antivirus module. If you find the letter of your hard disc select it and press on delete. Because otherwise your hard disc will not be scanned. If that fails try the following uncheck real-time protection is enabled. Check it again and put the slider on default.

I looked that. I have no exclusion defined. I also unchecked real-time protection and rechecked yesterday and nothing happened. It is a mistery. Unfortunately I don't use to see the graphs very often so I don't know when this issue began. For me was set it and forget it.
Does BD team have heard or see this kind of issue anytime before? Perhaps this could help.
If this issue is not resolved I have to change AV. I can't stand much longer without real-time protection.0 -
Hello Nunes
This isn't a known issue. Till now you are the first on this forum that had this issue.
Try this download microsoft installer cleanup: http://download.microsoft.com/download/e/9...1bd/msicuu2.exe
Install it and select the reference to BitDefender and press on remove confirm the message. Download afterwards regcleaner: http://www.worldstart.com/weekly-download/.../regcleaner.exe Check every reference that has Softwin or BitDefender in the name and press on remove selected do that also for startup list. Finally download ccleaner: http://www.filehippo.com/download/751ed683...ebaab/download/ Do not forget to uncheck yahoo toolbar during installation. Use the run cleaner option. After that go to issues, scan for issues, make a backup and fix afterwards every problem. Reboot your pc.

I shall ask about this problem and I'll give you an answer as soon as I can, but I'm pretty sure that this isn't a bug.
Also this couldn't be an Update related problem as no one else has reported it until now.0 -

Thank you very much.
I like BD and I would be very disapointed if I had to change since I think I'm in danger when I surf in the net althought I'm not a risky surfer. I must say that all other BD modules are perfectly functioning including the firewall, updates, on demand scan, etc.
This is puzzling me because I still think this is due to changes made by third party software but of course I'm not sure.
After using your uninstall tool I should have a clean install but after installation I was back to the same problem.
Later today I will use the cleaning tools referenced by niels.0 -
I was contacted by mail by the BD support team to send some logs to analyse the situation.
I will let to know the results.0 -
Let us know if the support team comes to a conclusion so that we can find out what was the problem.

Hi
Until today no reply from the support team. Anyone here in the forum can contact them and ask about this issue. If they arrived to an explanation?
Thanks0 -
