Total Security- Cant Scan/missing Scan Options

I noticed an alert to preform a full scan because iv never completed one, this is false. After trying to "fix" the problem it would automatically fail. After further investigation i noticed that im missing some scanning options. (Antivirus>Virus Scan>System Task)Im missing all of those. Theres no option for...

"Deep system Scan"

"Full Scan"

"Quick Scan"

"Auto-Logon Scan"

Bitdefender Total Security 2011 has been installed on this computer for about 3-4 months now and randomly seems to act up. Im positive something up because BD is running smoothly on my other PC.

  • Hello jrowinski,

A possible fix to this situation would be for you to repair BitDefender.

For this you need to go to Start->All Programs->BitDefender 2011-> Repair or Remove.

Please let us know the outcome.

I have the same problem as the poster. i just purchased bitdefender pro 2011. What's happening with me is that its missing the scan options in advanced view and when i click the scans on intermediate view the program doesn't do anything. Also the program says i have an error saying i never scanned. I run windows 7 64bit

Hardware is AMD Athlon II Dual core 2.00 gHz

    Ram - 4 gb

graphics card- ATI mobility Radeon HD 4200

edit: i did what you suggested and i did a repair but the repair didn't work. do you have any other solutions?
