  • OK. I guess I was expecting something totally different. Thanks, and you can consider this topic closed, as I've achieved what I wanted to.
  • I finally had a chance to use my credit card last night. My BD 2011 was configured properly, but only had the last 8 digits of my Credit card number. I believe but when I punched the OK button, I was expecting a notification saying the credit card number was going out, and possibly something asking it indeed I wanted it to…
  • Interesting update. I've gone through all the things listed so far to a "T". When I came to the part of reinstalling the downloaded installation of BD 2011 it came up with that silly Avast 5 again. So I went ahead and uninstalled it (whatever it was!) Rebooted computer afterward, and installation is running without a hitch.
  • OK.. I'll do it, but first I'll talk to her first. It's her computer. But I can safely get rid of Spybot S&D, Spyware Blaster, Malwarebytes, McAfee Security Scan. But I'll keep SUPERAntiSpyware for the time being, as she was highly recommended this product by someone who is supposed to know what they're even doing. (Note…
  • One thing I must say that she is adamant about keeping her McAfee SiteAdvisor. Indeed I'm using it myself with no problems. Now the one thing with Avast!, I'd like to solve because it's not in her Add/Remove programs. It's simply not listed.
  • OK... info sent. Let me know that everything came to you OK. I'm not really familiar with SendSpace. I only came up with one thing that indicated problems with surfing.
  • OK Dan, I'm now logged in on her computer and everything seems to be OK, though I haven't done much surfing around. I'll try to reproduce the problems she was having last night, & finish that support tool and PM you. If I can't reproduce it in an hour, I'll just send you the log without reproducing the problems. I've even…
  • One other thing I forgot to mention, that I'm (we're) using BD Total Security 2011. Hope that helps.
  • I too feel that BitDefender's customer support is lacking. I had some problems in the past, but nothing really helped. But then I found the forum. Everyone here has been very helpful... See this testimonial here. DanyDan has been more of help to me than customer service ever could. Shame I didn't know about the forums…
  • I've updated my Credit Card info to 8 digits, & filled in the "Rule Description" to say Visa, and updated it to "All Users"... I've also rated this as 5 stars because of the great info you've been providing me. For some reference I'm running... * Intel® Core2 Quad CPU Q9450 @ 2.66GHz [Family 6 Model 23 Stepping 7] * (4…
  • OK... Got you, and Thanks DanyDan. Apparently by what you're saying, I should have chose All Users. Was that the only thing that I did wrong? I'm taking it that the "Rule Description" could have been left blank but I'll add an extra something there anyway. Plus, I'll add more of the credit card number to avoid any false…
  • OK... Now I'm confused..... Yesterday I had the last 4 numbers of my credit card in there. (I wanted to make sure I did that before I ordered something.) Well, last night I ordered THIS burner from Newegg thoroughly expecting it to ask me if I wanted this transmitted? It asked nothing, and didn't alert me that the credit…
  • OK... Thanks but I've found it. Is there anyway to put a password so that someone would have to punch in a password to OK a transaction. (Otherwise it would not allow it to go through without a password?) I could probably find it, but I'm lazy, and you seem to know your way around. Plus I'm going to order something soon,…
  • Most excellent! 279 manuals I knew nothing about! I'll let you know in a day or so when/if I find the right buttons to push. Privacy Controls huh? That makes way too much sense. I'd been through the Firewall (sense I figured that would be a Firewall function) area till I was blue in the face! I just knew that BitDefender…
