Hello @Alexandru_BD, We still have to wait 1 hour after the device has started for the update to take place. Why not create a function so that when the system starts or when an internet connection is detected it is updated automatically? I believe that for the development staff this should be something simple to develop 🙂…

@Gjoksi Just a tip: instead of using Glary Utilities, you can use VeraCrypt, a free and excellent encryption program. I use it to encrypt my KeePass password vault 🙂 I create a container file (vault) and inside the file I put the KeePass password vault, which in itself is already encrypted, so if someone manages to get the…

I understand what @spaceweasel meant by the topic and I'll briefly explain my experience. I used ESET for 3 years uninterrupted and one of the best experiences I had with the product was that when I started the computer (either by shutting down/hibernating or suspending) ESET would update itself. This is fantastic as it…

@Scott I'm glad you found my topic useful as that was the intention 😄 to promote conversation between members and the exchange of knowledge, after all, all subjects are interconnected and connected to cybersecurity and Bitdefender is included in this as it is part of the package 😄 I don't know if there is such a…
-
I echo your words @Scott, Acronis used to be an excellent product, unfortunately today it is pure bloat.
-
Exactly @Scott, I got to know Macrium Reflect through the Malwaretips community. Thanks for the info on Easeus, it's always good to know about another great product in case I ever need it 🙂
-
How does it look for you @Scott, Macrium Reflect and AOMEI Backupper are excellent backup software. I've tested both but because I have a paid license for Macrium Reflect Home I use it and I've never had any problems 🙂

I asked for your opinion in a friendly way, not to debate or try to convince you otherwise, because it makes no difference to me... It was just to exchange knowledge here in a friendly way without arrogant or haughty behavior. As I said, I'm not here to force anyone into anything, I just think that diversity of opinion is…

Just complementing @Alexandru_BD great information. When using the standard account, most of the BD product configuration options are "grayed out", that is, blocked for editing. Therefore, to make any changes to the AV product, it is necessary to log in to the administrative account, make the change and return to the…

Thank you for the compliment :) I am always available to help the community, whenever necessary 😊
-
I actually agree with you! What we do with our data and where it is stored is a very important thing to be concerned about. Just like you, I am also concerned about this and I also try to use software with a focus on privacy and whenever possible offline (unfortunately nowadays there are many online services, we win due to…
-
Excellent! Thank you very much @Alexandru_BD, you will certainly add and centralize knowledge on the topic 😉😀
-
Well, I understand and respect your opinion :) from a security point of view it's not ideal but as it's your device, so I can't give much of an opinion. We know that no AV is 100% capable of detecting malware, especially for new and unknown malware. So, do you fully trust BD to protect your system? Have you ever thought…
-
It's nice to know that you also use the default account 😄 I don't know if there is any documentation from Bitdefender on this subject (I didn't find it in the support area), maybe I didn't look correctly 🤔. If you know of any topics on this, it would be nice to share them with us 😁
-
@Gjoksi @garioch7 @Scott @Alexandru_BD Let us know what you think and how you use your device 😙😄
-
That's great Flexx 🙂 To find someone here in the community who uses Windows in this way is very nice 😁👏🏻
-
Well, I use the standard user account to increase security more. Most programs work normally without needing administrative privileges, including Bitdefender 😄 In addition to the security benefit, another benefit I get is that it keeps my system intact against configuration changes, e.g. This way, my system remains very…
-
Long live Bitdefender and its entire community! 👏
-
Yes, of course. As I mentioned, in specific cases for example (a serious infection) it's something that can help. Obviously, development teams have to evaluate the cost/benefit.
-
Oh! Thank you so much my friend 😄👏🏻
-
Hi @erlang3, Welcome to the Bitdefender community. Maybe @Alexandru_BD can help you with that. Regards, Guilherme

Which unfortunately (in my opinion) is a shame 😕 Such disks in image format (.iso) are very useful in cases where it is not possible to boot the machine. In addition, competitors such as Kaspersky and ESET still keep their iso images active.

Hi @colonacc, Have a look at this topic, it might help you with memory utilization in the system. Also, I ask you to take a look at the second article where it shows the positive of a "high utilization" of memory by the antivirus software. Kind regards, Guilherme
-
Hi @Snapper, Here it is working normally 🙂 Check if it is really the DB that is causing this possible problem. Regards, Guilherme
-
Well, in a very direct way, I would say that I miss the days when the site was the "dragon" of Bitdefender (nostalgia hitting hard here). I don't know why, I can't seem to like this new design 😣
-
Hmm.. interesting 😗 In this case, I understand that it's something specific to you, but anyway it's always good to consume less resources, be it internet bandwidth or CPU/Memory. Always learning and helping here in the community 🙂 thanks for the info @Alexandru_BD!
-
Just out of curiosity @Alexandru_BD, why did you set it to update every 24 hours, i.e. 1 day? And what is the advantage of that? Thanks 😗😉
-
As always, great work done here in the community by everyone 😁
-
Hello @Alexandru_BD, Sorry for the delay in answering, I was absent for a short time here in the community, but I'm back now. Well, the idea itself is good, however, I believe it runs away from the Bitdefender product (I think this goes beyond the security software, in this case, Bitdefender). Taking advantage of the…

Hi @ANGELOED, Welcome to the Bitdefender community 🙂 Please see this link on how to temporarily disable Bitdefender. Regards, Guilherme
