  • Well, BitDefender doesn't detect this file with the latest updates. Please update your signatures, and rescan the file. Cris. This is very weird, I updated and then extracted the file again from the archive I attached here, and it still caused the alert. I'm officially confused haha.

  • Hello Paddy, That is just a riskware detection not a virus/trojan/... detection. The only purpose of this detection is to inform people of a certain application that can cause harm when you don't have installed them. I don't know if BitDefender will remove the detection of it. Everything was fine, and the only file created was the plugin file, "in_psf.dll" (MD5: 832735e1a1ed002449d393e719999f5c, filesize: 401408 bytes) which installed to the expected location. However, after the system boot_s up (and you log in Windows), BitDefender will scan all startup files (including boot sectors of the drives, if this option is enabled).
