  • Hello, The 2nd part of your answer is correct, there is no need to disable Advanced Threat Defense. If there were anything suspicious about the new program file, on access scanning would flag it when you try to open/run it.
  • Hi Richard, Did BD delete the file, or Quarantine it? If Quarantined, try "create exclusion for restored files" and see if that works when re-opening it. Antivirus/Quarantine/View Settings.
  • That's good news on all fronts

  • It sounds like it is at least being considered. But who knows if or when? /index.php?/topic/74757-allow-us-to-be-able-to-clear-the-activity-tab/&do=embed&comment=281230&embedComment=281230&embedDo=findComment" style="height:227px;max-width:502px;">
  •  I'll be giving it 2-3 days for things to settle in on my BD end, and their end before I consider if the slow update issue has been resolved or at least improved. Maybe there will be a Changelog for this build so we can have an idea of what's been fixed or improved?

I have my updates set for every 2 hours, so I'm not sure how much longer it's taking for the extra defs and whatever .qx. .exc, .txt might be updated during that time. But I…
  • Hi menelfloss, To disable the auto sync feature of your Wallet, go to Password Manager, click on My Wallet, make sure it is open by entering your password if needed. Then click on the 3 dots to the right to open the settings, and disable sync from there. As far as the banking protection, you are right, having read the…
  • Hi Dell007, It's per device you install your purchased BD on. I take it you purchased the Premium version? Here is a KB article with a follow up to my answer, # 3,11. It also covers other misc info. https://www.bitdefender.com/consumer/support/answer/7126/ Hope this helped, Scott

  • I'm still on 22.0.19.242 from Feb 27. Haven't been prompted for a reboot yet, unless it's going to hit here later tonight or tomorrow morning?
  • Hello I would first try disabling MBAM from within the console or from the system tray icon, and see if that resolves it. If not, here is a KB article to help in adding Thunderbird to Exclusions: https://www.bitdefender.com/consumer/support/answer/2121/ Some people do run both BD and MBAM Premium without any issues, I'm…
  • That's a good question. That may be part of Wallets security, the inability to easily be able to do that, at least that I know of, in creating a printable text version, but only in creating a back up, an export copy.
  • Hello If you wanted to upgrade to the Internet Security 2018 version, may take care of that issue and is probably still an option to be able to do so. I don't think you want to stay to many years behind? /index.php?/topic/76623-how-to-upgrade-to-2018/"…
  • What browser are you using?
  • You're welcome. It sounds like maybe a moving day is coming for some of the larger files to the other partition(s) to make room? Hope you have a great rest of your week
  • Thank you for that update. At least you have Google up and running with your work around for me, and hopefully for rnuis and others, too. It at times has to be a cat and mouse game for BD techs and Advisor and the search engines. You do a patch, they come up with an update. You do a update for that patch and they create a…
  • Hi Sergiu, Thank you for your help. You're solution for Chrome worked in disabling Quic. Mine was set on Default, and when I checked disable, I am now getting the Search Advisor icons with Google search, but not with Bing. The certificate is there in Chrome, Valid BD Personal CA.Net-Defender, in Bing and Google search. The…

  • Thank you for the post, Sergiu, and the submission to the development team, we appreciate it Is there an ability to flag this thread as Under Consideration or Escalated? Thanks again

Maybe BD want us to remember what was blocked as a reminder to us, or to remind us of what BD has done for us in…
  • You're welcome, Hitbit. I'm sure they'll get it figured out, as it's on to many peoples minds. Good to see you're keeping up to speed on that thread.

  • Hi don, Could you show me how you got that information and what you used to verify this, as I am curious and would like to confirm this on my end, too. In doing a general Google search for webshieldext.xyz, I found the address to be in London, too. But if I copied and pasted the text into the address bar, I get a warning…
  • I know you probably already know this, rnuis, as you've been here for a long time, but the below maybe helpful to others? Even if the search advisor icons aren't present, we are still secure regarding the web pages we visit by other parts of web protection. Even though this BD KB article is a test for our AV, it still can…
