  • Hmm, and I was thinking of upgrading too... Not after seeing all the CRAP associated with the 2010 version... Too bad too, I really liked the 2008 version, except for when it had issues (many times throughout the year) and couldn't fix them... Only way out of it was to uninstall and reinstall BD Antivirus...... I've had my…
  • Is BD2009 any good? I might consider using that if more stable and still available. Any advice would be welcome. 2009 was my first BD product and I had no problems with it. Well, after researching other threads I have found the patch, and it seems to have worked. Wonder how many days until the next bug strikes? I have 6…
  • This doesnt sound good. Ive paid for this product so it needs to work. If you check out just the first page of this forum, there are 3 or 4 different threads discussing the problems with updating. I have to restart my PC 3 or 4 times a day.
  • All of a sudden my copy of Bitdefender 2010 has started to malfunction. It says I currently have 3 issues, but when I click to fiox them the process never completes. The issues are - Updates are disabled, Updates have not been performed, last syatem scan was aborted before it was finished. Your help would be appreciated.…
  • Just deleted those files...can't wait to see if this works or not... Just woke up...and I have to restart...didn't work whatsoever.
  • You'll get that again...probably every two days or so.
  • Hello jammer10000, Please try the steps bellow: Just deleted those files...can't wait to see if this works or not...
  • Are technically protected when we get those screens? It says BD is switched off, which I would assume the answer to that questions would be 'no.' However, the icon is still red, not gray. This is a question I'd really like answered from a BD person since if I'm still protected, I won't have to restart my computer. And…
  • also another flaw in 2010 submissions error reports and virus from quarantine, this will not send??? LOL, I love that too. BD found two things and recommended that I submit them...then after it went through the process, it said it failed. Again, what is the point of having a feature that doesn't even work?
  • this problem should of been solved via update by now, as it does not seen to work well at all with xp,are bd helping MS to get people to upgrade their xp, as ms would love that This garbage should have been fixed in beta. How can a company release an anti-virus program that forces the user to restart their computer 3 times…
  • And I've had to restart 3 times the past 3 hours. What a great product! You have to re-start your computer each hour, or else your computer isn't protected because the anti-virus shuts itself off.
  • I'm having the same problem. Sometimes BD will update fine. Other times, the icon will become gray, and I get the first screen that davey posted. Sometimes it goes away in 10 seconds, other times I'll give it 10 minutes, it never goes away, so I have to re-start. But guess what, I've got a new, but similar problem. The…
  • Bottom line: there is no infection. Those keys are clean and are part of the installation process. Cris. Thank you.
  • I cannot find the exact Spybot extension since I clicked to ignore those objects and there is no place where I can find that I can un-ignore those problems in Spybot (so performing another scan will not find them) or retrieve a log that has the specific path. This is the best I could find: found: Win32.Agent.tdd Settings…
  • Hello, The patches seemed to have fixed the issue. So everyone knows, I am running Vista 64-bit Ultimate. The latest patch also worked for me on Windows XP 32-bit.

  • To avoid possible repeats I want to change all my First Actions to "Move to Quarantine". How do I do this? So far I have gone through all the scans, via the Advanced Vies in Anti-Virus and changed the first actions for infected files. Is there anywhere else? Or better still, could I have made the change globally for all…
  • That's what I had originally thought but after researching it on google, I found out that the process will run for a short while when the computer starts up, but should disappear after a while (it finishes checking for updates). Hope this helps. Thanks for that. It isn't there now, but has been occasionally, so I guess…
  • After update if the file is in quarantine you can restore it or if the file was deleted you can do that "Quick fix" (Post #7) Do you happen to know if the quick fix is necessary if the wuauclt.exe file still exists? I searched for it and it is currently in C:\Windows\system32.
  • Update is done. Wait few minutes until all update servers sync. After update if the file is in quarantine you can restore it or you can do that "Quick fix" What should we do if the file was deleted? Like I said earlier, it is currently running in the processes. I checked a few minutes ago and it wasn't. Should it always be…
  • OMG!! My sister and I just got this too. About 5 minutes apart. Really scared me there. I tried googling trojan.generic.1433905 but I couldn't find anything on it. I tried going to windows update and the notice popped up again. Not only that, but it appears to have moved to system restore. I'm so scared that it's gonna…
  • Hi, I turned on my computer this morning, noticed that windows update was working in the system tray and suddenly BitDefender pops up the following message: "File c:\WINDOWS\system32\wuauclt.exe infected with Trojan.Generic.1433905" So, is this really a trojan, or just another false positive? I think it is a false…
  • The KB states that no user action is required. Does this mean that Bitdefender is going to restore the files it erroneously deleted? Harry Phinney I'm interested in this question as well. When I try to restore the quarantined items, it says the file already exists and if I want to replace it. I click 'okay' and it then…
  • Try putting your system protection level to default, firefox is trying to update, at least this was the case for me. I'll try that if the message keeps popping up. Today it hasn't (and it actually allowed Firefox to tell me there was an update available).
  • What version of BD do you have ? Antivirus 2009
