  • Hi All Followed their so called fix, not fixed. This is where I ended up. See attached pic. Regards Try to restart your computer in safe mode. http://www.redmondpie.com/how-to-boot-into...ws-8-safe-mode/ I had worse problems with Win 8, but just restart your computer, maybe even several times. Again, I truly believe that…
  • @werby3 Shame on bitfender not fixing the issue. I also found a description under the help button. See attached cure which also does not work. What I also found that Bitfender AV switches on its own between "Custom Profile" and "Auto Pilot". Last question are we Beta tester or even Alfa. You pay good money for what?…
  • I agree, it really is an excellent software, and I am willing to hang in there with them as they work some of the glitches out. Thank you for your contributions here, posting back with this good news, and kind word about Bitdefender, as I'm sure they like hearing that every now and then For many years I was a "secret" fan…
  • Yes, sometimes a restart can do wonderful things. It just seems to have been allot of other clicking and ticking, in order for Windows to recognize BD. Yet if it works (and "stays") though.... Thanks for posting with your solution @ indie, I have all today's latest updates, so far so good I've restarted my computer three…
  • The glitch with the Action Center and Compatibility Troubleshooter may be related, as my Action Center (no flag warnings), and in running the Troubleshooter (even tried Windows 8 Upgrade Assistant) all show no problems on my PC. I did not have that problem yesterday. It appeared today.
  • Hello, This is a known issue. You can turn off Windows Firewall & Windows Defender under Control Panel or Action Center. You can also disable those kind of messages, opening "Action Center/Change action Center settings" till issue will be fixed. If BitDefender's main window shows that you are protected, then you are…

  • I too am interested in questions# 7 & 8. Does, or can there be a conflict between Windows ELAM and BD 8, in that the Windows version should be disabled, as shown here: http://forum.bitdefender.com/index.php?s=&...st&p=170569 Another excellent thread "If you are using Windows 8, you want to check if your anti-malware…
  • Hi indie I know this is not a solution, as I see you have been working with Christian and Customer Support. I also see from a post, that you also use CCleaner. For me on Windows 8, running BD Windows 8 Security, is that if I set CCleaner in, Options/Settings/Secure Deletion, for anything but the default Normal deletion…
