  • I have the same problem. I got the same message, while it was updating. It suddenly stopped working, and it wouldn't restart after three reboots. I have the paid version of VPN. Windows 7, 64 bits. I contacted support before coming on here.

  • The only way I know to remove Threat Counts is to do a Bitdefender Repair. (Uninstall/Reinstall) It can be done from "Programs and Features" --->Bitdefender Total (in my case) ---> right click, uninstall, a pop-up will ask "reinstall" ---> left click on that.
  • I've had this situation occur some time ago. I switched to "AUTO PILOT" and Bitdefender fixed it. But to be sure, I did a BITDEFENDER Repair (Uninstall/reinstall) and set it back to AutoPilot.
  • Depending on my computer usage, I will use Malwarebyte's free scan and Trend Micro Housecall free scan bi-monthly, then uninstall them after each use.
