• I signed up just to thank you for this. I couldn't update Windows for weeks. After I uninstalled BitDefender it worked fine. It's quite unfortunate that this hasn't been fixed.

  in FYI, that last Bitdefender update was the *cause* of the DPC Watchdog Violations Comment by moffa December 2017
