  • I totally agree. I refuse to upgrade or pay Bitdefender another dime unless or until they provide a way to back up all of my settings. If need be I'll simply switch to another product, one that does allow customers to painlessly upgrade.
  • I've found that their whole scan function is a hot mess. Custom scans that I set up to just scan a particular drive were still scanning all drives. I tried deleting those custom scans but they still keep running. Now I have 2 or 3 scans running at the same time and there doesn't seem to be any way to stop or cancel them.
  • I had the same experience with BD 2018 (i.e., no settings were saved) and I only had to restart once to complete the reinstall.

(Not holding my breath. ) I've had 2018 for only 14 days and I've lost count of the number of times I've had to restart my PC because vsserv.exe is unavailable/not responding.…
  • I've also been having serious issues with their new 2018 version (I have an open ticket) and have asked for complete instructions on how to go back to 2017. So far their only response has been for me to reinstall 2018 (TWICE so far and the problems persist). I you haven't already, I think you need to totally uninstall 2018…
  • I was advised to upgrade from Bitdefender 2017 to 2018 on July 22nd to resolve an issue with Wi-Fi security. The issue wasn't resolved and now I'm having to restart my (Windows 7) PC 2 or 3 times a day because vsserv.exe is unavailable/not responding. The latest email, sent this morning, said I needed to install service…
