This is a licensed copy, I've got an account what gives? Has anyone encountered this problem? Is there an easy way to fix it?…

I have not been able to update both my bitdefender antivirus 2008 or 2009 for nearly a week now. A lot of different bitdefender users have been experiencing this problem and the fact that bitdefender has said nothing about it on their website or have any of the admins reply on this tread about the problems they currently…

Right Click on the icon, select the advanced Settings, push Advanced on the down/left corner. You can find a check box that let you disable BitDefender. Warning: do not use 2 different antivirus program on the same machine! I'm into day two of trail version and want to disable BD so that I can run a scan by another AV…

Hey... I'm using BitDefender Total Security 2008 and I'm 90% sure it is the reason why my hosts file (windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts) file is "blocked". It is turned into a system file and also has a hosts.bak... Because of the bak I am assuming it was bitdefender xD (since its my only firewall/antivirus). Anyway, I…

Have had BitDefender installed since September 2007 with same basic configuration on PC... Just recently, between February 07, 2008 and March 08, 2008 a BitDefender update is causing POP3 and SMTP e-Mail server connection errors. It refuses to check and download incoming mail, and blocks outgoing mail. Outlook Express has…

Hi, Thanks for your reply! I just received this machine yesterday, so there are no other AV or similar products or older versions of BD installed. I am just running with the standard Vista settings minus the UAC. One thing is that the installation is gone before I was ever asked anything and I would assume that there…

Hello fabiowilly, Sorry or the late response. About your screenshot...I can't see any problem in it. That window (the one that appears when you click on the virus' name) should close when you click Chiudere. It works fine in the Romanian and English versions (and I suppose in other languages too, since nobody else reported…

Hello fabiowilly, So, to be clear: dialers, as Niels said, are applications that, without your approval, use your modem to call over-taxed phone numbers. This kind of applications are used by certain people as a method to steal money from you, because you are forced to pay for some calls that you didn't make, and a part of…
-
Dear fabiowilly, By default the option to scan dialers is checked under scan options. So you must have unchecked that option. Please post a screenshot about what you talking about. I am speaking about the normal home user products. The strange thing the option you say isn't even mentionned in the manual. Best regards Niels…

Dear fabiowilly, Dialers are only harmfull with people that still have isdn connection because they have to call in each time by their isp. But people who still use it are an minority. If you perform a deep scan or complete scan dialers are being detected. You can verify it right click on the scan tasks press on…

Dear fabiowilly This is my personal possible solution. I didn't get that from technical support. Best regards Niels Thanks a lot

Dear members I installed the trail versin of BitDefender 2008 and ran a full system scan on my 2 year old desktop with Windowns XP OS. However, I realized that I could no longer connect to the internet after the anti virus scan was done. I tried to change some of the configurations but it didn't work. At the end, I decided…

If I execute a code that contains a dialer, I'll be infected?... Thanks a lot! Sorry for my poor English! woah I wrote in the deutsch…
