Hi, I have already created application rules, the two files pnkbstra and pnkbstrb are located in Windows/system32 but they are still blocked. Additionally there are copies of these files in the game folder, I created rules for them too just to be sure.

I installed the trial Version of Bitdefender 2013 and am having exactly the same problem (communication failure of Punkbuster). I have tried to add an exception to the firewall or shut it off completely, without success. Christian, as you recommended to upgrade I assume you know which settings I need to make now? Robert

Hi Christian, can you guarantee that BD 2013 is compatible with Punkbuster? I have this problem too and I will upgrade to the 2013 version (and also buy new a license) but only if the Punkbuster problem has been solved. Regards, Robert

Dan, I deactivated these settings but regrettably the problem remains. I have the latest SP and updates installed. Does BD generate a logfile that would contain information about blocked communication attempts? On the other hand, Punkbuster is quite widespread in the gaming world so there should not be a general problem.
