Guys, like I've said before, the patch is really unnecessary if you can get into the System Recovery mode of your Windows. Just use the F8 method. And yes, all Quarantined files will be back.

I know many of you had the same problem I did in which BitDefender ended up quarantining itself and everything that had to do with Windows. I used a System Recovery and went back to March 10th. Everything is perfect now. Even programs that didn't have to do with Windows are back in working order. How I did it: 1. Turn off…

The patch does work. Bit Defender is working again. But the firewall doesn't seem to be working. It won't let me turn it on and says 'failed' when I try to fix it. My programs still don't work. I'll probably reinstall all of them in the morning. At least we know BitDefender works somewhat well under pressure. But very…

@Biohaz1: The purpose of this patch is to restore as many items as possible from the BitDefender Quarantine, it will not fix items that are not shown up in the quarantined lists. So basically, you screwed us over? Thanks a lot. I don't even have my Photoshop CS4 discs anymore. Are you paying for those on top of the Bit…

I have to disagree. A failed ISP is just as expected as a failed detection of a virus or making a false positive. But maybe not for everyone, what can I say... This isn't the first time an antivirus has made a bit of a mess, but surely this is the first time for BD. Maybe this kind of fails would be more expected, if BD…

The details that BitDefender Support are providing are very sketchy. I proved one staff member wrong and we haven't received a proper reply since. Again, Will this patch fix items that do not show up in the quarantined list?

The files were not removed but restored to their original locations because they're clean. No, you're wrong. None of my programs work still. It's as if you accomplished nothing.

@LCB: A patch will be released in the shortest time possible and you will be able to run it in order to restore the quarantined files from BitDefender Bit Defender reinstalled itself. Does that mean it deleted everything in the Quarantine folder? Nothing is showing up on Bit Defender under quarantine.

Hello Biohaz1, If Windows starts in Normal mode on your computer, a patch will be released as soon as possible and you will be able to run it. It will restore the files from the BitDefender quarantine. I doubt you could help me now. BitDefender decided to start working and deleted all my quarantined files. My computer is…

How do you expect us to System Restore when BitDefender quarantined it? I don't have a Windows Disc either. They don't give the disc with Laptops. I can't believe I've been recommending your program to clients for years now. I doubt I could ever trust this program again.
