Bitdefender folks, Any fix yet? or any estimate/updates? Thank you Mine was fixed with the 17.18.0.808 update, have you tried turning auto scan back on?

That's good to know, as we both have the same set up, that it may not be a firewall/IDS issue? I'll keep using this partition, and see if it changes, and gets slow or unresponsive. Honestly it only started when they did a program update a few days ago, it's something Bitdefender have done IMO.

I'm using AV+ on Windows 8 64 bit and no firewall software.

It is fairly annoying, especially since I've only just recently purchased a licence for Bitdefender and now it's having this problem.

Same problem here, since the 17.15.0.682 update after an autoscan my computer becomes unresponsive as does the Bitdefender interface, I have to restart my computer to fix this, I'm also using a system installed on a SSD.
