Thought they'd fixed this. If my memory serves me correctly it was to do with accessing a USB external drive even when nothing was being done like a scan. Task manager showed read access for no good reason.

Latest update just installed 23.0.14.61 has made no difference to this issue and it feels significantly sluggish especially at the boot process. On 10/9/2018 at 11:25 AM, CătălinC said: We have new build - 23.0.11.48 Can we see what changes this version have? Thank you!

You're obviously guessing here and not working on definitive information about the state of this build. I have previously installed and uninstalled this version I've just discovered it still has the disk access issue. However I'm not aware of any way I can determine what the current build I'm downloading from my Central…

Thanks Stefan. As a retired IT Manager of some 40+ years in the industry this does look as if it's shaping up to be a serious problem for Bitdefender and will almost certainly affect it's reputation. If you have any way of feeding back customers' experience on this release I'd hope that you might say that owning up to…

Contrary to most of the posts to this thread I have previously used the product in 2016 and found it interfered too much then with other software and spent an inordinate amount of time trying to get them to co-exist. So this time I was a tad skeptical but at first all looked OK except it seemed a tad slow. I'm currently…

Same here over a month of obfuscation. Sad that I didn't discover this thread sooner. I don't think the issue was there in July when I installed BD but it certainly was at the beginning of September. My backup drive was constantly being read by BD. If I uninstalled BD it went away. What with the other issues experienced…

Same here. I'm seriously thinking of ditching this product. Only been using it for a couple of months and really makes me wonder what their testing regime is like. On the surface looks pretty appalling. I've been able to go through the apparent process but it never completes. What's more annoying is the constant reminder…

Both Windows and Bit Defender are licensed. I'm using total security 2019. Many of it's features are not full e.g. VPN irrelevant for me as I already use Tunnel Bear which works well. Other aspects of the product constantly prod you into doing things that are not necessary e.g. saying you're low on disk space when you're…

That's supposed to make me feel better?

Hate to say this but the patch available through your central account doesn't work in this instance. I'm constantly getting "Windows Update Service Cannot be started" so I conclude from that and because this was made available so quickly (moi skeptical?) that Bitdefender have knobbled (as we say in the UK) this feature…
